Alex is probably the most interesting athlete in the entire combat sports universe at that point. Arguably the best striker we’ve ever seen. This is special we have to appreciate it as long as we can thank u Izzy for taking this beast to the UFC

I give this to Pereira 9 times out of 10, and the last time is likely a draw. He's faster, stronger, more precise and technical on the feet, and I'm willing to bet even Pereira's ground game is better. I like Rountree, but I just don't see anything he does better than Pereira.

Everyone was saying the same thing before the Gohkan Saki fight, although I will say saki was past his prime, I still give Khalil a decent chance at winning especially since he’s developed his Muy Thai skills to an elite level 🤷🏾‍♂️

since this will basically be a Muay Thai/ kickboxing match i can see it going either way, khalil isnt a slouch in the striking department, all it takes is 50 pounds of pressure to the jawline to knock out man. precision is key to this match up, not who can punch harder

Pereira is 100% not faster than Khalil and he has bad boxing defence. Pereira also struggles when fighters check his kicks like rountree does. We’ll see for the grappling but pereira was getting worked by Izzy on the ground so

The only struggle during his fights is people struggling to stay awake long enough to make it a fight. This is a huge miss match. Wide looping punches from round tree that he loads up on. Vs the most technical....greatest kickboxer in the world who happens to hit harder than anyone ever recorded by the UFC. Including Ngannou. This man's a nightmare. Roundtree is going night night

@axtb-xvc lol, one of the worst things you can do with Pereira is try to make it a dogfight because you leave yourself so open. Pereira is extremely patient, has a long reach, and is technical so guys like Jiri, who is a dogfight type fighter because he can't do anything else, gets knocked out. The only people that do well throughout his career are other extremely technical fighters like Adesanya and other technical kickboxers. And of course, we haven't seen him fight dominant grapplers.

@@bea405 Both approaches have their pros and cons that ultimately still leaves the fight in Alex's favor. Trying to make it a dogfight creates openings that'll most likely get you slept, but trying to technically out-kickbox the Glory kickboxing double champion legend most likely gets you slept to.💀

My main doubt here is if Kahlil can perform against high level fighters. I saw him lose a decision to Jacoby who both Alex amd Reyes KOd inside 1rd Then the level of guys he has faced is literally a couple behind what Alex has faced since the Bruno Silva fight Strickland, Izzy, Jan, Jiri and Jamahal are each on their own already bigger and more accomplished names than anyone Kahlil has faced

Besides Izzy no one can match the striking level of Alex right now, but Izzy has no frame to 205. Potential FOTY here. Khalil is one of the most entertaining fighters in the LHW Decision because he fights like his opponents owe him $50,000 and they're late on payment. Oblique kicks? Liver shots? I weirdly feel like Rountree also has the best style to beat Alex. Alex gets his shots when people are too scared to let loose against him. Rountree's like a battering ram of energy coming at you. He's either going to catch Alex really bad, or Alex is going to catch him. It's going to be a really fun fight.
