Ikram accepts with no hesitation WHILE weakened in the middle of a weightcut, to then sign up for ANOTHER weightcut just a week later. 2 fucking weight cuts in 1 week. And thzts if we don't count all the world chimpion and Olympic champion from Dagestan in wrestling, judo, kick boxing and boxing (amateur or professional). And for a small contry of only 3 million people compare to America which has over 350 million is truly super human level of success in sport. Chael sonnen talked about it how a small village of 2000 people in Dagestan produce more wrestling world and olympic champion than several American state does every 10 years. If you consider all the barriers of entry these guys it makes it even more impressive, give it another year or so we'll see majority of divisions taken over by them. I wish Ikram all the very best and seriously l don’t think Whitaker is a very good fighter anyway. These guys are seriously focused, they don’t drink alcohol, party or mess around, they are healthy young men driven by the passion of winning. Personally l don’t think Khamzat had any intention of fighting Whitaker, it’s all a huge show when he pulls out and no doubt put Ikram forward to get the glory and push him up the ranks.

Those who focus on Alves has zero clue on the fight game. I’ve been in the sport since 1988. I’ve watched it worldwide since then. I called Aliskero to be future champ many years ago. Been a fan of his since 2018. I also picked Khabib as underdog with his first fight with Iranian guy. I was right about Khabib too. Then I called Islam 3 years before he became champ. Next I’m calling Umar to beat O’Malley. Easy to bet on true thoroughbreds. They train since 5 years old. They eat only healthy. That’s the winning combination. Plus Aliskerov was trained by Abdulmanap and Khabib. Two of the best there is in the sport.

@@misterwenujeIt's both religious and cultural. Islamically beards are obligatory to maintain and mustaches are recommended to be trimmed but it became popular to completely shave them among many muslims. In that region it's more of a culture because even non practicing muslims will have that look

If wrestling was so easy, every fighter would learn. The reason it’s so hard for UFC fighters is they don’t have the stamina, strength, skill, placement, speed, or endurance to wrestle. They will lose. Striking is so easy, a girl can punch. So most UFC fighters stick with basics like striking. This is why Khabib and Islam were so dominant. They can do it all. Not one fighter could put a mark on Khabib. He stood many rounds with strikers with zero damage. If you can’t punch your opponent, once he gets you down, he will pound you. Khabib showed exactly that. His ground and pound was insane. Alsokerov will be on a different level. Robert will get beat badly.
