Me too. I love Volk and I sound biased saying this, but I noticed he usually eats these shots. He gets dropped occasionally but man that knockout by Islam did not help the situation, his brain needs to a year to fully recover and here he is putting himself in a situation where can easily lose once again. Now he wants a rematch, I wish he’d wait like he was supposed too.

Volkanovski just loses against Makachev and it was a K.O I think that makes Volkanovski mindset completely changed a Fighters mind will be different after a lose specially from a K.O coz them will think It could happen again they will start to question their skills inside the ring doubts will be there they are not 100 percent focus their main goal will be like how to survive round by round the complete confidence to win is not there anymore.

Likely but the way I see it is like this. Once the era ends, the belt bounces around 2-3 hands and then finds another era worthy champ. LHW is in the midst of this. So is MW. Granted, it ain’t solid math. But I feel it’s likely he loses in 1-2 defences, and so do the next 1-2 champs.

I don’t want to see it as Volk is old and Holloway is getting there too…. But they both could have the belt. If O’Malley fights Illia then O’Malley is the champ , no question about it. At that point Max and Volk both stand a chance. It sucks because I’d like to see the divisions active and strong but I don’t see any possible way O’Malley doesn’t take both belts then squat for a few years.

@@compareFirepower I do not agree with your definition of identity. If it only was required to speak spanish, live in Spain and to be a "matador". Then anyone can become spanish, the requirements are to easy. (Bullfighting actually originates from mesopataimia/middle east region so is it actually Spanish culture? True that it is associated with spanish culture but If chinese people suddenly started Bullfighting would it be chinese culture?) In my opinion genes are a better way of identification, because you cannot change your genes so for example I am swedish I cannot become spanish by just living in Spain and speaking spanish. Topuria has Georgian genetics which would make him only Georgian. Problem with identification with genetics is that everyone from every country can have children with eachother. For example Topuria's son is half Georgian genetics half spanish genetics so what is he? The more you think about it the more you reliase that countries are just made up. Just my perspective on this matter.

@@SamadaptivednaTechnically the Germans have more of a claim on him, however it seems he has more affinity with Spain, most likely due to spending his teenage and adult life there, his kids are half Spanish so he probably wants to represent. But agreed 100% Georgian power

Whoever fights this guy better have high-level wrestling or go for broke. High risk, high reward. Volk won the first round but this guy just kept moving forward. The only guy that will beat Topuria is someone willing to lose. Volks style doesn’t match up well. To many people have been giving Volk over the top respect, Topuria said fuck that, I’m gonna smash him & he did.
