A fighter can not ask a doctor to look at something, only the ref can call for that. If ref doesn’t stop the fight , you must continue to protect yourself at all times.

Im no pro mma fighter, but as an amateur boxer you got to respect the dangers these mma boys put themselves in and if you have never fought in any combat sport let alone MMA, You cannt understand what the warrior is in you until you take a beating and still have the heart to compete. Nothing but respect, I hope he recovers with his sight but that is a brutal injury to come back from.

@@PjXu98 I took a tree branch in the eye when cutting wood, I fell instantly and was only seeing in grey/red for days. Then after a week I got colors back but saw double for some time. Also was the worst pain of my life, thought my eyes was punctured lol. If he had got hit in the eye with that elbow he would be one-eyed.

Unfortunately. That is the purest form of fight or flight in a humans life. The moment of absolute pain. He stopped for a second but then the fear of death kicked in. He realized he wasn’t “dead” so he said “fuck it, let’s get it”. This is one of the few real time moments where we can literally witness that mechanism click in the brain. And that question we’ve heard forever, “What will you do? Fight or flight?.” He is on the fighting side. Through and through. At least he can look back at this and know for certain he’s a warrior still.
