They're both trained to fight and any personal beef they had? Wasn't worth it, its all about the art of the sport. Congratulations to DDP & izzy because izzy has done so much for the sport. Tonite? Winning by tap out doesn't indicate anything about him not being robbed. Adesanya was winning the fight and dricus got lucky by exploiting the situation. @ER-yx9cp
@ER-yx9cp 6 ай бұрын
@@mph38 Ok yea Dricus is white and technically Adesanya is ‘more’ African since he's black but at the end of the day Dricus didn't get lucky, he used any holes and missing links to find a way to get the win, just like how Islam managed to get the sub against poirier from such a small window of opportunity. This fight was also very close and competitive and so saying robbed is a very strong opinion and yea adesanya is most of his title fighths fights out of New Zealand so I see where Ddp is coming from but yea if you feel adesanya could have won, that's fine and its you're opinion at the end of the day the fighters respect each other and so should the people watching 👍

@@ER-yx9cp you sound like a casual. DDP didn't use tactics to win in this fight. He took advantage of a mistake that Izzy made which the ref should have realized and paused the fight. Israel looked like he gassed and he also looked like DDP punches had him stunned a few times. That last sequence, he got rocked, pointed to the ground, got hit, then literally turned and ran while DDP chased him and hit with punches then couldn't defend once taken down. He looked good but also looked like he slowed down tremendously similar to what happened in the Alex P first fight. So as much as he says he felt great, he definitely looked bad once DDP started catching him.

But he wants other ethnic africans to be acknowledged, too. You might disagree on this, but it's easy to see where he's coming from. For generations, any accomplishments of ethnic black people were often ignored, undermined or erased, so he feels attacked. Because people were always discriminating on basis of ethnicity rather than the actual homeland, now Adesanya doesn't want this factor to be ignored. Personally, I'd rather have people go with their geography and citizenship like with Du Plessis, but there are still lots of people who specifically don't want to accept people of other ethnicities in their country and spread division (ethnic nationalists), which is why Israel feels he should support those who are attacked by giving them their own ethnic pride.

If Izzy took wrestling more seriously & leveled up to the point of actually effectively using it to take down his opponents(not just defensively), he'd still be champion. Its inevitable: wrestling is the most effective part in combat(Bruce Lee said that). Dan Hooker did a good job of surviving Gamrot long enough for him to gas out & once it came down to pure heart, Dan just had a bit more in him though his face payed for it in damage...however if there was a 4th round, the wrestler would have won that one as well. Ciryl Gane wouldve beat Francis if not for getting taken & held down twice via effective wrestling(& Jon exploited that to beat him as well). Its not that hard to see & agree with...this is why Khabib, Khamzat, & Jon legendary levels exist. Khamzat would eat Izzy for breakfast(1st round finish) & will out wrestle DDP & keep the belt(striking theyre about even). You really have to add wrestling to your arsenal & not just train to defend it. If Bruce, father of mma, were alive, more people would actually receive this obvious fact. People are more in love w/ what they saw Bruce Lee do than what he actually said & taught. A super fight of Jon vs Alex = Jon proving he can take down & exploit Alex while surviving his elite striking & effectively striking back. Khamzat level wrestling is the future(remember what he did to Kevin Holland...busted his eyes via a choke). Only when both wrestlers are Khamzat level or close enough will you find that skillset cancelling out leaving both fighters with nothing left but striking(think Kamaru vs Colby fight 1...yet Khamzat vs Kamaru saw Kamaru out wrestled). Apart from that, not having effective wrestling & managing to win is simply exploiting the fact that mma is still in its baby era & its fighters are ill prepared. The wrestler who can strike in this age is basically a guy bringing a gat to a knife fight(long as you dont gas out before your opponent like Gamrot did).
