What a breath of fresh air from the mentality Izzy had when he defended the belt. When Dricus defends, he fights like he’s a contender trying to with the belt all over again. When Izzy defends he acts like it’s the contender’s job to go and take it from him, and if they don’t, he’ll cruise to decision with leg kicks.

While everyone is hating on izzy, he was still the most active MW champion, 13 knockdowns and knocked costa whittaker and brunson out, knocked down gastelum 55x and went to war with him and got his mw belt in 2 years and ran through the division Revived Pereira and got his belt taken, and then knocked him out, the ONLY fighter to knock pereira out who is now the most feared ufc fighter right now The one fighter who been in izzys head more than half a decade Pereira has more respect for izzy than for his casual mma fans because he knows how these fans are who would never step a foot in the ring Izzy will always be the MW goat after anderson silva. You see I like guys like these . He has that dangerous humility in himself like khabib , of person who worked a lot on themselves , often times due to suffering , and then choosing to be very good even though he knows his power of energy . I felt that only in few fighters in ufc like Oliveira , chama , Anthony Johnson ( dep mi rey ) and im sorry if im forgetting anyone but very few . Happiness and love is felt differently throughout those people on a different level due as a gift of previous depth of emotions .
