As soon as he said “well… I’m broke…” DCs ear piece must have blown up…”oh lord! wraaaaapp it up, leaaavvee!!” Lol 😂 it’s a shame that he had to say such a personal thing that hits home so hard, publicly. The old saying, You don’t ask you don’t get… issue is you ask and you get side lined… so you gotta say stuff like this to throw out hints. I hope the UFC sort something out for this guy. Number 3 ranked fighter should never have to say he needs more fights cause he's broke. Pay your fighters, Dana. Anything less than 50% is bullshit EDIT: For those who think he's broke because of poor money management or because he hasn't fought in a year... In his last fight, he made $86k and in this fight, he took home $161k. Sounds like a lot right? No. Keep in mind the taxes that are taken from this, and he has to pay for his 6+weeks of camp, his coaches, his flights, and any medical procedures that occur outside the octagon. UFC does not give medical care to their fighters outside the octagon. They are technically contractors. HERES THE KICKER: For the NBA and NFL, roughly 50% of revenue goes to the athletes. The UFC, it's 16%. Don't blame money management, blame the UFC. These men and women are risking their lives for 16% and no union.

@@jesselucas1461 he broke his arm in his last fight what are you talking about. Jarod made 100-160k from that fight. After trainers, taxes, camp, injuries he probably had to survive on less than 50k for a year. A rank 3 athlete in the biggest fighting organization should be paid more. The UFC pays their fighters 16% compared to the 50% every other major sport does. You ufc bootlickers are insane. Have no grasp on money. A one in a million athlete who gets punched in the face for our enjoyment deserves to make more than a regular tradesman regardless if he fights once a year.

He looks a bit worse tbh. He’s still right outside the elite level but his striking isn’t as crisp. His combos are rarely thrown, his 1-2, his hop step hook into range he kept tagging izzy with isn’t thrown anymore. He looks a bit worse in his defense too. There were a lot of times he was out of position and just waiting to be countered. Izzy would’ve buzz sawed him tonight and I’m a Kelvin fanboy.
