Congratulations man. I remember after high school in 2002 me and my friend rented UFC PPV on VHS at our video store. It had a Pulver fight and we were immediately hooked. Slowly the sport grew and seeing the OGs making it into the hall of fame is pretty awesome. More then 20 years later I’m still a huge fan and can’t wait to see what’s next.

Finally Jens gets the credit he deserves. Bested BJ Penn, Caol Uno & Cub Swanson in his heyday. He has a few classic fights & solid wins. At 27-19-1 he's got more bouts than i realized, even over a 14 year career. I'm glad he's getting some well earned recognition.

I remember seeing him when ufc came to Seattle. All the new fans didn’t say anything to him. He was holding his baby walking out of the tunnel during intermission. I yelled his name and he reached up and shook my hand looked me in the eye and smiled the biggest smile. I remember a fan asking if he was a fighter. I said no, that’s a legend right there.

Jens been a fighter his whole life. This is from his autobiography: "At ten years of age, lined up alongside his two brothers in the living room of their Seattle home, Jens Pulver stared down the length of a shotgun into his father’s haggard face. Because Jens was the oldest, the one constantly running upstairs to protect his mother in the middle of the night, his father placed the barrel into his mouth first. Fear taught Jens how to attack with his fists. Fear taught him how to get what he wanted, by any means necessary. Fear put him on the path toward becoming a world champion fighter, to prove wrong all those who claimed he wouldn’t amount to any more than his drunk old man"

Very well written. Yes, Jens has fought his entire life. He´s never been given anything. It takes one hell of a man to survive and accomplish what he has done. And still be a role model for any other human being out there. I salute him and if I could be half the man he is, I would be proud. I strongly recommend the documentary about him, "Driven", for anyone that hasn´t seen it. Very emotional.

Pretty legendary watching Jens walk on the treadmill next to young Nate Diaz telling him he’s gonna enjoy watching him have a great career. That’s some pretty sick UFC history right there.

Very well deserved and I'm glad they put him on the pioneer wing , he opened the door for the small guys and thanks to that not only we have the legendary lightweight division , we have the featherweight and bantamweight and flyweight which are giving us the best fighters.

When I first started watching UFC, Jens Pulver was one of my favorite fighters. Notably, many fighters from the original Miletich camp have made it to the Hall of Fame now.

It's about time. The First Lightweight Champ. Arguably the greatest LW champ reign Won the belt against Caol Uno Defended it against BJ Penn and Dennis Hallman The number of defenses may have been surpassed But the quality of the reign? Probably not.

I got to roll w Jens several years ago when he was prepping for his comeback...I'm nobody special but he was so cool & down to earth, it was an awesome time. He's definitely got (or at least had) his demons, but he was a hella cool dude.

Jens Pulver might not be the most recognizable name, he might not have had the legacy that other lightweight champions had but the main is a true pioneer of MMA, a hard working man that has an incredible story and truly deserves to be here in the Hall of Fame. I always knew he was worthy of this award but I was always scared that the man wouldn’t get recognized. Congrats to Lil Evil. Fun fact Max Holloway’s nickname before Blessed used to be Lil Evil in honor of Jens Pulver.
