The fact that masvidal was honest about being bested in wrestling, and his update that when he got bigger and stronger the wrestling exchanges weren’t that far apart as they were at the start, makes me believe that masvidal has a legitimate chance, he was honest and fluent about his shortcomings and where he wasn’t as good at the time is huge, whereas Colby admits nothing, makes you wonder……..

Yea, but when you’re betting on someone you can’t go by luck but rather what the record shows. Colby has a wider range of skills while masvidal has a lot to be asking for when it comes to ground game. I want masvidal to win but Colby just has more skill, if I get proved wrong I’ll be even happier

This fight is great from wherever you see it. Jorge is clearly a more gifted striker, with a lot of tools under his belt but Colby maybe more overall tough and can endure the Grit. One of the greatest fights that the UFC has put together, we are truly blessed.

*I don’t think people realise how close of a fight this could be.* Colby via decision or Masvidal stuns Colby with a body shot and TKO’s him. Colby won’t have the size that Usman did, and won’t be able to overwhelm Masvidal like Usman did. I think the wrestling will be more even and Colby will have to chain wrestle more and keep the pressure high.

False. Colby has more of a wrestling background than Masdival. In fact that is the reason they both started training, because Masdival wanted to learn more wrestling, however Masdival has more striking experience.

If Colby isn't getting pay-per-view points for this event he needs to fire his management. This is a grudge match, and it only going to sell at the level that it does because he's accomplished what he's accomplished in the UFC, and because he's an integral part of the story that is involved here. Idk about Colby folding when things aren't going his way. After getting dropped and losing the first two rounds against Usman decisively, he came on very strong in the final three. Usman deserved to win the fight, but scoring the final three rounds for Colby wouldn't have been the most eyebrow raising thing we've ever seen.

This is a hard one. Jorge seems calm, and that's a good sign. I just worry about the wrestling aspect of this fight. I guarantee Colby wants no part of the stand-up and will wrestle the hell out of Jorge for a technical yet, seemingly dull fight. I'm here for either outcome. Cheers!

MMA math doesn't work. I could say Usman beat Masvidal by knocking him out cold but Colby went the distance. Styles make fights and Jorge has to be careful because his wrestling is weaker than Colbys and Masvidal has struggled against fighters with good wrestling in the past. Colby can actually hold his own on his feet too. Overall it works out better for Colby because striking is easier to learn than wrestling. They both have great cardio too so it's going to be real interesting.

Masvidal is one of the realest fighters ever. The ability to be able to control your emotions both ways is incredible. Also his ability to be critical of his weaknesses at points in his career is as real as it gets. I love this guy, I hope it ends like his Askren fight just not as quick! Covington is the purest definition of a clown.

Yet in this interview he mocks Colby for saying they were best friends and claims he himself never viewed it that way.
