Before his first fight in UFC he had 56 fights in Amature Boxing, 23 fights in Kickboxing and 27 MMA fights. The guy fought 106 times in period of 10 years. In 2004 alone he fought 8 times. He's best years were from 2001 to 2006. Imagine today HW fighting 8 times in a year. That is what today's MMA fans can't comprehend. These guys at that time fought the best and everything that organisation could throw at them. Mirko was another breed of fighter he would fight anyone, anytime even if he was hurt. Not to mention he never talked trash and always retained sportmanship to his oponents. Fearless and viciois legend!

@@DarkPeter he did not live in Yugoslavia in the 90's. Croatia got independent in 91. and he was then 17 years old. He was not participating in the war as a soldier. He did have a hard childhood and youth because of poverty but he did not see too many horrors of the war. He did have to move to another city to finish school because his city was under Serbian occupation. He is one of the best fighters in history. I'm just saying that people often think he witnessed some terrible things in the war and that's not true.

One of my all time favorites! A terrifying opponent in his prime who would send people's souls into the stands with his kicks. Took on Bob Sapp back when everyone was scared of him and broke the air of invincibility around him.

Josh Barnett had one of the greatest Heavyweight reigns in MMA. Was at the very top of the food chain for a long time. Went undefeated for years after his last loss to Cro Cop. Looked like no one was beating him and was supposed to fight Fedor
