I think its more father time and eventually you have to lose, like he's 35. Fighters like him and Silva who rely on reflexes so much, you just can't fight the same at the age. Izzy 5 years ago wouldn't lose that fight.

Silva was 38 when he started losing and had horrible leg injury unlike Izzy who’s still 35. There are better fighters in middleweight now and Izzy style isn’t working anymore

meh. it was decent. silva, gastelum, strickland, alex 2x, ddp, whittaker 1 were the only good fight to me, everything else aside from the early come up fights, were mid or boring or boring until the big finish. those costa, vettori 2x, cannonier fights really ruin his run.

Izzy's problem has ALWAYS been his defense. He depends on youth and movement vs solid traditional defense. EVERYONE slows down and when you start getting tagged and all you know is how move vs cover and defend well it's doomed to be your downfall. Look at Roy Jones. Same exact thing.

For people saying Adesanya’s washed, he’s not, he’s still the same guy he was, the division just managed to improve and catch up finally. He’s gonna become washed tho, if he doesn’t improve and add some new angles to his game, which I doubt he can do at this stage of his career.
