Its so difficult to achieve in cricket also as the field is set, the bowler's hand and line considered etc based off your initial stance. So it may throw the bowler off, but it would mean you'd have to not just be aware of the fielding positions, but more importantly the defensive angles, hand/head positioning, and footwork you'd need to face a ball spinning 5degrees off the pitch, or balls at 150kmph. If a batsmen switched each 'over' back and forth and with solid defence, pundits would claim it borders on unfair play, even though legal to do so, as its such an anomaly. Other batsmen can do it, and even some junior cricketers ive met, but to do so at the high level of international cricket is beyond any sport I can think of in regard to ambidexterity.
