Air restriction takes much longer to cause brain cells to die - you still have the oxygen in your blood to circulate to your brain. With blood chokes, the rent is already past-due, and you just gambled your last borrowed dollar.

I remember back in school I had a friend and I was gonna try this choke on him and he was supposed to tap when he wanted me to let go... However he didn't tap and when I felt his body go limp I just got so scared that I instantly let him go without catching him, so he fell unconcious to the floor and started convulsing. It was scary af to see, but he came to just a couple seconds later and was completely fine, said he started dreaming in the few seconds he was out lol. Btw this happened in the middle of class while the teacher had left us. Might be one of the more stupid things I've done in school but he was fine in the end so it's all good.
