He used a strategy famous in Japan , the "Hikaru Genji plan" . protective figure (often paternal figure but in his case he did the fun big brother I think), usually kidnapping a girl from poverty, and make sure she grows up falling in love for him He prepared rose to fall in love with him (could kidnap but would have been too obvious). His strategy was to make sure when rose matures , she fall in love with him and not others. It's similar strategy we see in Greek mythology when Theseus kidnapped Helen as a kid so his mom take care of her until she grows up (so he can have her). Par Barry is really like Hikaru Genji, but more subtle that's why rose is still in love with him . He thought it like an investment.

He landed more and did more damage, Arman defended the submission perfectly he didn’t survive he defended. He was up in the round and Olivera was just holding him in there even when he couldn’t get it he didn’t switch it up or anything so Arman just rode the round out without risking anything.

The craziest « how they survived that » of all time moments was when Kevin Randleman threw Fedor Emilianenko on his neck. Fedor first didn’t get paralyzed or even didn’t die but more amazingly won the fight just after that !
