Wasn't really just because they included those specific fighters but stuff like including them in this specific instance means they put some thought into it get me. He is truly one of a kind, never bled, not a single cut, nor was he ever in a critical situation. @ you’re not making the point you think you are by giving examples of guys who did have to fight tough matchups… and then had tough matchups. Like 90% of the allure of the Tony fight was Khabib having to finally fight somebody who knew how to fight from his back. He’d have won it IMO, but he’d probably have taken some elbows that would stop this fight never bleed narrative.

The GOAT of lightweight will forver be Khabib Nurmagomedov. The more things Islam Makachaev accomplishes the more Khabib's legacy grows and solidifies. Khabib's greatness is just not about his 29-0 record, it's his character. There have been better fighters than him and there will more in future. You know you have reached the greatness in sport when your legacy is used as a yardstick to measure greatness other champions of just not your division but other divisions as well. Whenever there is a great fighter suddenly the conversation will be his record vs Khabib's record irrespective of the divisions. Fighters in future might go beyond 29-0. Records and streaks will be surpassed and broken, but what will remain intact is the fact Khabib dominated all. All the talk about padded record, fighting tomato cans and uber drivers doesn’t change the fact the UFC fighters too got treated like those drivers and cans who got smashed. Khabib the most dominant fighter ever to step into the Octgon. Yes, Jon Jones, Mighty Mouse, GSP, Anderson Silva and DC are the top 5 GOATs of MMA but Khabib is the UFC lightweight GOAT.

Imo Khabibs aura of invisibility makes him the goat. But Islam is a close second and on track to surpass him. Edgar v Maynard is my favourite lw fight of all time. The heart of Edgar is unbelievable.
