To be fair it must be pretty annoying spending all that time to work towards the fight, all the hype and anxiety about fighting a legend just for it to end that fast, it must be pretty disappointing and anti climatic If I was a fighter I would prefer the fight to go as long as possible just to prove to my self and everyone else that I was a true fighter and could go the distance and still be standing after taking some hard shots that would put anyone else down It would also be more entertaining for the fans to see a long fight with a big ko later on and not a cheap ko in the first round

Jones fought people smaller than him his entire career, and when he finally didn't have a massive height/reach advantage he went to decisions with fighters like Dominick Reyes, Anthony Smith, and Ovince St. Preux. Tom Aspinall destroys him.

@aqolonio
@aqolonio 11 ай бұрын
@@GoatlikeitornotAll lost to jones, but you don’t mention reyes who got robbed of a win against Jon. Gus gave him a run for his money, a guy who matched his size and stature. Don’t get me wrong, I am a Jon fan, but Aspinall is potentially the most well rounded fighter Jon will face if he ever decides to fight him, and has the height advantage at 6’5 too. The man boxes with the Furies and trains with Glory GOAT Rico Verhoeven. I did my research, this kid is legit.
@aronviranyi458
@aronviranyi458 11 ай бұрын
@@Goatlikeitornot Glover is a good win, Gus was extremely close except that time Jon popped for PEDs and had the event moved to another commision. Gane is a good win on paper, but if we had known how incompetent he is on the ground no one would expect Jon not to dominate him. His most legit win recently (or at least in his last couple) is probably Smith lmao and he still delivered an illegal knee.

Here's the deal: Jones has a die-hard fanbase, frothing at the mouth to defend their boy as the greatest thing that's ever happened in MMA, and the guy can do anything he wants to and they'll still defend him. Then, there's a large(and growing) contingent that recognizes that Jon Jones already has too many asterisks next to his name to be taken that seriously. Ultimately, Jones will likely fight Stipe and retire, because he's still got a legion of fans to stroke his ego, and the only thing that would shake that would be a definitive loss.

Feel bad for this lad. He is a nice guy with talent and potential to become a superstar. UK stands with him. Yet, Dana is not giving this man what he has rightfully earned. Dana would make him fight Volkov or probably Alex Pereira and defend his interim title to the eternity.

Jones got angry and beat up a woman instead. Aspinall what a humble guy, every normal guy is an Aspinall fan.

Jones would never give Tom that advantage! He won't even take a last minute fight against Chael Sonnen! He always stacks the deck in his favor and then acts like he's just that good!

Tom as trained with the fury family from a kid the man can punch harder than hes letting on to people. Thats why his timing is impeccable hes probably hits harder than francis but tom doesn't throw as wild tom aspniall is the future goat of the ufc john jons wont he even be heard about in 3 years time this man still guna be undfeated with 100% finish rates

It would be nice if the UFC could run on our time zone next time they visit. Watching the ufc between 3-5 am would have been a pain if it wasn’t for my insomnia.

I like Tom's idea at the end. It reminds me of WWF Vengeance in 2001. Rock, Stone Cold, Angle, and Y2J. 4 men competing in one night to see who the true undisputed champion is.

It was a good stoppage. Blades was protecting himself and took 6-7 shots with no answer. You can't put the ref in a situation like that and expect him not to stop it
