I feel like he could’ve. He had a clean shot to the liver right there. But I’ve never been in that moment of adrenaline, so even if Charles got some nice liver shots, maybe Miller was so into it, he just would’ve ignored it.

Khabib’s double leg takedown to back take transition, to full mount where he can ground & pound to armbar threat and then triangle choke where he put Getche to sleep with in seconds, a blink of an eye. This should be studied in martial schools years to come. He never lost a round, never bled in a fight. The eagle always rose to the occasion.

I'd say Charles is better at submissions. He has 18 submissions out of 29 fights in UFC. That's UFC record in any weightclass. He is a master at it. That's why people here in the comments find it funny that he got submitted by Miller. But Khabib is better at keeping his opponents on the ground and mauling them.

He's an excellent wrestler, but his Jiu Jitsu and submission defence is not the best. Problem is when he sticks to his wrestling, it leads to forgettable fights because he basically controls his opponent. While when he tries to make it exciting by going for the finish, he leaves himself open to submissions. Tough spot for Chiesa honestly.

That Ryan Hall vs BJ fight, we all anticipated a submission given their backgrounds I actually thought BJ would get it done. Also what the heck happened to Pettis dude was so heavily promoted by the UFC he was on cereal covers, his fight with Tony was next level. That fight had the best Tony is the type of guy, someone said “Tony’s the type of guy that goes to a feminist meeting and shouts whose the man in charge here”. If I remember right it was the co-main for Khabib vs Conor but I might be wrong.

In terms of technical skill, I think Lauzons 1 arm transition to the triangle is the sickest. They even did a Gracie breakdown of it.
