Josh Emmet's one was most devastating shot of this year. Makhachev's setup was though the best. He went from low mid to high in matter of minutes. He literally adjusted from Oliviera to Volk in 9 days. Champion for a reason.

those illegal hits to the back of the head? yeah, “crazy” Islam walks around 200lbs and Volk ended fight 1 on top beating him… most success from a fighter. this is why he shouldn’t of taken a last min fight, plus Islam needs 2 days to recover because he’s bigger than guys that fight at 170lbs let alone 155!!! Islam needs every advantage, because he’s not as good as he tries to say he is. if he fought all guys who walk around 200lbs. he’d be a joke

@@hankhillstricklandpropane4134 I don't remember this many KOs at 155 in the last three years. The top submission artists Islam and Charles had TKO/KOs this year. Gaethje hasn't had a KO since 2020. 2021 had Gaethje/Chandler. 2023 had Gaethje/Fiziev and Turner/Hooker for an intense three round decision war. Even the unranked '55ers brought spectacular violence. Diego Ferreira with that monstrous overhand on Michael Johnson, Drakkar Klose with the first slam finish since I think 2020. BSD finishing all three of his fights this year. Elves Brener had a wild KO and a war with Guram. Matt Frevola, Bobby Green,Drew Dober. Lightweight was carnage top to bottom this year.

Islam and Adesanya's knock out of Volkanovski and Peireira, respectively, are coin toss for me. Imagine the pressure these two was carrying during fight night; Islam's desire to erase all the controversy in the first fight and having to face the same guy who had nothing to lose on days notice, while Adesanya was on the verge of losing to his arch rival for the 4th time. Both guys came through it and beat their rivals in spectacular fashion.

Alexa Grasso's offensive/reactive grappling is so good man - you think she's just gonna box with you but she's so fast that she's got a sub locked in before you know it - we saw it in the second fight too, really disrupted Shevchenko's game plan with those heel hooks and knee bars
@RedceLL1978
@RedceLL1978 Жыл бұрын
Shevchenko also timed that spinning kick very badly and utilized very bad range, reminded me of the spinning kick that got got Rockhold full mount over Weidman and was the beginning of the end for Weidman too. Same kick, same bad timing, same bad range, same result, title loss.

UFC should make an exclusive, super well-paid event that happens in April every year. To be on the card of this "UFC Top FInishers" event, you can only book your place by making a great finish during the previous year.

@@AustinSauce3 In those cases I think I’d look at who ko’d them. Benoit St Denis (great young prospect), Edson Barboza (absolute legend), and Ismael Bonfim (good young prospect). The UFC has a reason to promote these guys. Now look at Josh Emmett. He’s never been a star and he’s 38 years old in a young man’s division…lost his last 2/3. He’s not going to be fighting for a title. Not much reason to promote him
