UFC president Dana White sits down with the media during UFC 171's Ultimate Media Day to discuss some of the sport's hottest topics, including UFC in Mexico, the welterweight landscape and Daniel Cormier's future at light heavyweight.

Man, I just went into deep thought on Dana White, the UFC, the sport, etc. I wondered to myself how long will dana be in this? He's still relatively young and healthy looking. I saw how the ufc could evolve into a worldwide sport, all countries following at the same time, like the olympics but even more regularly. I imagine seeing him as an old man with this giant fight arena like the days of gladiators or some crazy shit like that.

Yes, you can access fight pass in nearly every country worldwide. If its worth it is a matter of preference. I subscribed mainly because of the fight library, but now that they have added live events aswell, its definitely a homerun for me. The people bitching about it is mainly Americans who are used to getting these live fights for free on FOX. With so many fights these days the UFC decided to move some of them on fight pass, because FOX didnt have the budget to show all of them.

YES, ITS FUN, Dana doesn't want to admit it but he is excited GSP is gone! So AM I! Finally, for the first time I can remember we have a WW title fight with two warriors that actually want to and can fight and damage their opponent. Its a great day for people that have been SOOOO tired of watching GSP ekkk out decisions.

The thing that the UFC is still missing and really needs to do is promote their mid-level fighters better. Everyone knows the GSP's, Jon Jone's, Andersons, and Cain's.. but the mid-level guys get nowhere near the notch of attention. Like more shows like Countdown or UFC Primetime. Pretty soon, they'll have too many fight cards but not enough recognized names. When that happens, people are going to see who's in the event and wonder who or why they're paying money to see these guys they don't know.

I think dana goes by the phylosophy: I dont care who is the fighter as long as he gives a good fight. Thats why only the top guys shine in the sport and is pretty clear that only those will shine. I believe that gives motivation to mid level fighters to improve everytime and give better fights.

Belfort is not licensed in Nevada, and they have now banned TRT so Belfort decided to decline the fight to cycle off of TRT. So now its Weidman vs Machida, which is also a good match up but not the same :\

What happens then the British champ wants to fight the American champ? The American gets Brit's belt? Can't happen - So then what - They fight irregardless but then everyone know that their countries champion just lost. Who is funnily enough still champion. It'l remove matchmaking options for fights people want to see. I don't think it's viable.

well, i was more thinking the lesser level fighters.. boxing does it. then once they defend it, they move up to the big leagues. the reason why i say this is because so many people are complaining about having lower level fighters in the UFC.. this way it gives us all a story to invest in..

How the fuck does an organization as large as the UFC see the value in putting out the pre/post fight scrum video without ENSURING that we actually hear the fucking questions as opposed to fractions of whispering questions?!!! WTF! This shit would be 10 Xs better if we didn't just hear the answers. An easy fix-they just choose not to.

They should've let the fighters that are on trt continue until retirement. (test them every week at the fighters expense) The rule should be no fighter be allowed to use trt ever again except the ones already on it, and once they retire trt will be out for good. This way they could faze out trt without hurting the fighters careers. It's inhumane to allow trt and then take it away. Plus most of the guys on trt would've been retired with in a year or two, because of this bull retirement might come a lot sooner.

Its testosterone intended to only be used by people who have low testosterone and need to use it as a supplement. But if they use it excessively instead of just using it enough to take them back to regular testosterone levels it can be a performance enhancer for sure. Testosterone itself is the chemical in males responsible for muscle growth and all that manly jazz.

Jack Jonathanson No problem man, Vitor could very well fight for the belt in the future, hes just gotta take some time off from fighting until his body gets used to making testosterone own its own again instead of relying on it from the TRT. But he could also just simply not be able to perform without it anymore as age takes its toll on him.

FOX wouldnt broadcast some of the events so what can UFC do to facilitate these extra cards? There are a lot more UFC cards this year. At least fighters get more opportunities to fight because of fightpass. If fightpass doesnt exist, there would be less cards therefore less fights for fighters. For many countries, it's even better because they get fightpass card on tv. For others, If u dont like it dont buy it, just like any other products. Plus everybody knows u can watch them (without paying 10 bucks) if u really want to. Nobody loses with fightpass imo

If you truly believe you are going to beat an opponent then the time limit doesn't matter! If you are a finisher, which you shouldn't compete if you aren't, then the time is irrelevant... Also, Mayweather should go to jail if its true he had his goons beat 2 guys half to death on an assumption... People with his mentality, money, and power are dangerous. Even if convicted, he will run the prison and live like he is on cribs anyway... There will be no justice either way.
