this is a fresh approach from the UFC: No more of the over the top voice over guy hyping the fight to death, showing the humanity in fighters, just as TUF 1 did. Great stuff.

Oh man, I love the country vs. country nonsense that are in these comments, like "I'm not going to root against an American" lol, I couldn't care if you were from North Korea, if you're a good fighter and you're a good person I hope you win, in the case of Weidman and Machida, they both are great fighters and great people, so I can just sit back and enjoy the fight, whoever wins I will be happy for. This isn't the World Cup, fighters stand on their own merits, I don't think you should ever root for a fighter just by where he is from.

The world is full of big time losers who have nothing going on their lives and they seek validation through someone else's achievements. The easiest way a loser can relate to someone's achievements is through nationality so for UFC it's the easiest way to sell PPV.

anyone can make you think they are fast and deadly when they are shadowboxing... different story between a fight and shadowboxing in ur hotel room. Some people in the gym can have perfect technique but when they need to perform under stress they are not the same.

Blejdan ive seen her fights and everytime she gets hit, it can be just a little jab, she backs off, slows down and lose herself a little. I think she would get outboxed by most of the other woman fighters in the UFC. But luckily this is mma so she doesnt have to stand and trade.

You could easily go 0 for 3 with those picks, or you could get 1 or 2. Can't see Alexis winning though. BJ could win, Machida could win.. very competitive fights, should be a great card. Lets hope its not a snoozer cos noone wants to over commit and fuck up.. For me, Weidman, Rousey, and im on the fence.. maybe Edgar in a decision, depends on BJ's condition and tactics. Hope we see the old BJ Penn, flying knee and all

Don't see why people are hating on Rousey, she's dedicated and very good at what she does and that's what being a champ requires. Being a likeable or good human being doesn't make you the best, just how you perform. Plus I don't see Rousey for the supposedly bad person she's made out to be, she seems to have an honest yet realist approach to fighting and even life.

Ronda only cuts 10 lb. to make weight, that is fantastic compared to most fighters that cut 20-25 lb. to make weight.

***** It is to get her body adjusted as much as it can to the full weight cut. She walks around at 145 lb. so its only 10 lb. Anyways, 10 lb. is a small amount of weight to cut for both men and women.
