On episode #2 of UFC 183 Embedded, headliner Anderson Silva endures airplane mechanical issues as he makes his way from LA to Las Vegas. Once in town, he joins former 205-lb. champion Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and UFC President Dana White on the set of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil and then participates in open workouts -- alone. Welterweight Tyron Woodley checks his weight, while his co-star in the co-main event, Kelvin Gastelum, works his headshots at an area gun range. At long last, Silva's opponent Nick Diaz overcomes his own logistical issues and lands in Las Vegas. UFC Embedded is an all-access, behind-the-scenes video blog leading up to the UFC 183: Silva vs. Diaz superfight, taking place Saturday, January 31 on Pay-Per-View.

Right on, except Nick makes sure to still do things his way and will make no apologies. However, when the time comes he will be the one across the cage coming forward throwing hands with a gas tank the size if the arena. Anderson better hope he can knock him out or he is gonna earn this check. Pray they box the whole fight but I doubt Anderson is down for that. Nick can box on his level and he knows this would not be his best strategy

I love them too BUT PRIDE did them first...kinda like a back stage AFTER the fight they were AWESOME. For a treat go back in time on KZbin and look at some of the back stage footage at Pride Fighting. Some fights would break out, post fight sadness, post fight victory...it was an awesome look into cage fighting. But yeah i LOVE what the UFC has done with these VLOGS.

I went to School with Anderson Silva and I remember him teaching me that front kick he did on belfort back in 7th grade. Then i moved schools and went to stockton in 10th grade and I met Nick. We were sitting in the back fckin around and one of us always went to the principles office. He taught me how to box and here I am.... the GOAT

That is why so many working lower and middle class blue collar people get Nick Diaz that the upper echelon just won't ever get. This dude is from a place where there aren't business men running around in their little beamers and Mercedes. He is from a place where there is poverty all around and he has probably grown wanting to throw that middle finger up at that class of people who have had it easy. He does things his way and makes no apologies! He comes to fight, not to do embedded and entertain the public while he has one of the biggest fights of his career to prepare for. Who knows what or how he mat be feeling and nobody cares. Except his camp and him, so I get the dude! He's been doing this as long as anybody else in the UFC and I'm sure he enjoys pissing them off every now and again. But who is gonna get in that cage on fight night and give you your money's worth more than Nick Diaz every time he fights? Not many guys. Appreciate the dude, he's not your normal cat and I understand that and can appreciate him doing things his way cause that's the way he got to this point. Hope he gets out there gives Anderson a hell of a fight on their feet and comes in the best shape of his life and just outlast the GOAT just to put that final stamp on his career.

chael sonnen dropped silva 2 times in their first fight,given that silva has lost his chin imo,weidman ko'd him and dropped him from a clinch in the 2nd fight with a punch he would have taken,nick could win this fight by ko/tko. anderson can go 5 rounds but i find that he slows down alot around 3 and coasts the last 2 and with nick putting pressure on him could tire him out. the thing i worry about for diaz is he is smaller,suffers against people using leg kicks and silva had ko power. imo silva is done but their will always be interest in him and fair amount of PPV buys so they will want to keep him around even if he goes down a chuck liddell type road. nick diaz pro's tough great boxing cardio bjj blackbelt cons ring rust movement anderson silva pro's size speed power mixture of tools kicks,knees,strikes etc con's chin ? age injury/layoff mental state of mind after weidman fights i go with diaz by ko/tko round 2-4

I'm thinking Silva by TKO by the third round. Diaz uses almost no head movement, and moves straight forward, and that is really bad against someone as powerful and technical as Silva.

No, no they don't. Gleison Tibau is notorious for putting on a lot of weight after weigh ins. Most if not all fighters weigh much more fight night. It's like regulated cheating. Downside is your gonna pay for it with cardio.

I hope Nick has prepared for this fight and has shown up to fight and not just to collect a paycheck. Too many times have I heard both Nick and Nate say it's just about getting paid. Sometimes it seems getting paid is all they care about and do not even try to get ready for the fight. I am tired of seeing the "just pay me bitch" brothers. I want the Diaz brothers of old that were hungry and wanted to smash the world!

Jenny Friedman It is a fight... their opponents devise a strategy to nullify their strengths. If you know your opponent is a better striker then you plan for that. This is MMA and not just boxing. If the Diaz brothers choose not to adapt and learn from what their opponents do to nullify their strengths they will soon be out of the UFC. Dana does not long tolerate losers.
