On episode #1 of Embedded building up to UFC Fight Night, the two European headliners brave the Boston cold as fight week begins, with Irish featherweight Conor McGregor making a day trip to appear on SportsCenter on ESPN. Back in Beantown, McGregor rewards autograph entrepreneurs, then rewrites some promo scripts on the fly to inject his own unique personality. German Dennis Siver also lands, enjoying a dinner with his cornerman while doing some private trash talking of his opponent. McGregor continues to instigate on a bigger stage during media duties. UFC Embedded is an all-access, behind-the-scenes video blog series focusing on the days leading up to the hotly-anticipated UFC Fight Night: McGregor vs. Siver, taking place Sunday, January 18 on FOX SPORTS 1 and more.

avery375 Every behind the scenes interview I've seen of him shows that he's a really good guy. He's confident in his work, he mocks others as fighters, but he doesn't look down on others as human beings.

gizmo nala Mcgregor knows nothing of true poverty, many fighters from South America and Africa know what is true poverty, real struggle and one of them happens to be Jose Aldo, dude who left his home in one of the poorest places in south america, to go live in a gym and had to skip more then 1 meal a day because of lack of money. I'm Brazilian and I've seen many José Aldo's interviews, I don't have to read subtitles when Aldo speaks, so I can feel his emotions and understand his mind clearly; let me tell you something, it is going to take a special human being to beat that man, he's willing to die for that belt, cause for him that's not just a belt, it means lifetime success, Aldo had a very tough life before he was famous and rich, his reasons to fight are as deep as it gets and I'm not sure if McGregor is the one to do it...

That being said, I don't think cockiness is bad, especially in this type of a sport, and I don't have a problem with either fighter, but it's funny to see the Jon haters who criticize him for being cocky (among others things, of course) and then just hugging Conor's nuts all day when he is arguably quite a bit more cocky than Jon. I mean, Jon has a very legit reason to be cocky. P.S. Not sure what being a male has to do with being cocky, I know quite a few who aren't, ever...

After watch Conor sign those pictures I gotta really give him props. He knows what the "scam" is in the selling of the autographs but yet he is happy to sign them and share the wealth in doing a small thing in scribbling his name. This really completely changed my view of him. I know other fighters and seen the videos where they ignore fans or just sign the one (which is completely understandable), but they gotta realise that the bottom line is that these people pay their bills. Much repect to Conor.

They really have Conor doing a wild amount of press. I get that he's a star, & building his appeal is necessary; however, there's got to be a tipping point were it has a negative impact on his preparedness. And they have him regurgitate his off-the-cuff lines ad nauseum...Makes Conor's glibness feel disingenuous. I'd rather not see how that particular bit of sausage is made.

***** Edgar has one of the worst styles to take on Conor for the same reason Aldo beat the fuck out of him. Except Conor is even more devastating on the feet. The only danger for Conor is someone wild but accurate and skillful like Cub Swanson. Someone who can hang with him at his own game. These wrestlers won't know what hit them when they fight Conor.

McGregor has a good looking piece of ass for a girlfriend. She is also loyal, she has been with him since day 1. And even though you can see glimpses of her in every embedded video McGregor has been in, she has never said a word or tried to intentionally attenwhore in front of the cameras, she is content with just supporting her man. What a gal.

I like McGregor even if he acts full of himself, just for the reason that having all different types of people in the UFC makes it interesting. People approach life and martial arts differently, it makes it interesting to see what happens when the time to fight comes. If everyone was just the " honorable samurai" all the time it wouldn't be as fun. Some are like that which is good, some are not which is good.
