Featherweight champion Jose Aldo and interim champion Conor McGregor face off in an icy calm, while middleweight champion Chris Weidman and challenger Luke Rockhold keep things light during their interactions. Plus, Rockhold develops his own rapport with - and impression of - Weidman’s friend, Gian Villante. UFC Embedded is an all-access, behind-the-scenes video blog leading up to the championship double-header at UFC 194, taking place Saturday, December 12 on Pay-Per-View.

I think Conor's movement training makes a lot of sense. Movement is an enormous part of fighting and at the end of the day, great fighters do things their opponents can't. Everyone trains punches, kicks, grappling, cardio...but who trains specifically for movement and unique body control? Whether or not this coach of his is the right guy is a different discussion, but the idea makes sense to me.

+Bones12x2 yeah but aldo is a pro soccer player and he does capoeira so shit like that is natural to aldo only they do it at extreme speed.. where as cmac training is like child's play.. you have to understand the footwork of a pro soccer player and the body movement of capoeira to understand weather cmacs body movement training will have any effect on aldo ...the idea definitely makes sense though

+MrTelboy Movement is excellent alternative for strength training and conditioning, much better than push ups, but training like a gymnast doesn't prepare you for a fight(only hitting the mits, sparring does)

Realize that IDO Portal's drills help Conor diversify his foot movement and create a pattern that is different from the rest of the fighters. TIGERS hunt deer, and they are used to their movement; the way the deer reacts to specify attacks by the tiger, but you will notice that as soon as a cat or even a dog is put in front of the tiger, it gets confused, but not necessarily scared. The tiger doesn't know what to do and resists attacking. Ido is helping conor do the same. He is changing his movement and reaction times to confuse Aldo.

New unique training always gets called "bullshit" & "dumb" people are so uncomfortable leaving their box Sidenote: Don't know if I sound dumb but if I were a fighter i'd cut my weight first couple weeks of camp and train the rest at the right weight. I don't know why fighters don't do that. I puzzles me. Cutting weight at the last minute couldn't possibly have any advantages

They dehydrate and starve the body to lose a few pounds the weigh in day, which is why fighters will rarely train at the weigh-in weight. You wouldnt train dehydrated and starved but its makes sense to do it just before weigh in.

Clearly Conor's been training for Aldo for almost a year now. He most likely isn't showcasing his cage work on embedded since its already been on here. There's no doubt he's been training every area, he's been waiting for the opportunity tomorrow his whole life. Should be a great fight and may the best man win
