@90Itsone198 жыл бұрын
ProtossExecutor100 The UFC is not a BJJ COMPETITION it's Mixed Martial Arts, that's what makes it so unpredictable. To think that fights should be make on their similarities is just foolish. You might as well just watch a Bjj, boxing, or judo. Different fighters bring different martial arts to the UFC and being an actor is not one of them.
@ProtossExecutor1008 жыл бұрын
omero saldivar I didn't say they should pit him against a similar fighter. I said they should pit him against someone who's on his skill level.
@ProtossExecutor1008 жыл бұрын
So you're saying they should pit a guy who has 2 pro fights against a guy who has 53 for the surprise of it?
@90Itsone198 жыл бұрын
Last I checked M.Gall only had 3 pro fights (ONLY 1 UFC) prior to that fight.... so I think it's safe to say that they're both beginners. They're obviously not going to match ANY BEGINNER with someone who has 5+ straight wins, cause there's a big chance that's a guaranteed loss. Not as humiliating as CM punks though 😂😂😂. He was just there for PPV sales
@ProtossExecutor1008 жыл бұрын
Yeah true, but you forgot the part where guys don't just go pro right out of the gym. They have amateur matches first then go to the UFC. Gall not only had a brown belt in BJJ but two pro fights prior and is younger. So yes, it was a mismatch.

3 things here IMO. 1) The post match interview CM Punk was great. Very inspirational. But the fact is he pretty much gave himself a participation trophy. 2) One of the reasons CM Punk said he left the WWE was that he was upset that people who was not with the company i.e. The Rock, Batista, etc., would just show up and main event Wrestlemania and other PPVs while the wrestlers that work with the company everyday are held back. So he in essence did the same here. The fighters that have worked hard to main event a UFC, their spot was taken away so in the words of CM Punk, he can cross off something on a bucket list. Kinda hypocritical IMO. 3) If you watch Titanic backwards, it's about a magical ship that saves people.

They all say that, for one reason, to make people watch. We as humans have some morbid satisfaction from watching two other guys beat the holy hell outta one another. So you want more people to watch, you want more people to pay to see it, so you talk some trash you make people think its gonna be great. I mean remember the "Fight of the Century" the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight? I remember all those famous boxers, talking beforehand, all of them saying it'd be a brutal, bloody fight and look what happened? Both of them ended up with hardly a scratch. Before matches everyone bigs it up and trash talking is just a way of bringing in more money. Gall simply said that to hype it up and then when he saw Punk was way out of his depth and had made a mistake he had pity and held back a bit. If he wanted to he could've seriously hurt Punk. However I do think if Punk had not charged in like he stupidly did, he might've gotten a few good hits in.

+Spartn M I don't know if I'd say he deserved it...he clearly had no clue what he was doing the second he stepped in there and that's after two years of training supposedly. Sure it took guts...but no he didn't deserve to be in there and honestly he was put in alot of danger in that situation just for a cash grab by the UFC. I heard you have to have at least 5 pro fights to debut as a pro in Ohio but they bent the rules for punk. That is sad if true...
@colinjenkins64498 жыл бұрын
***** that's because brock lesnar was an NCAA division 1 national wrestling champion at heavyweight...he had, at least in my opinion, a very limited game. That one thing he was really good at though just so happens to be the most important skill to have. If you are the superior wrestler then nine times out of ten you can decide where you'd like the fight to take place. On the ground if you don't feel comfortable with the striking and vice versa. Punk didn't even know how to throw a jab much less complete a single or double leg takedown... It was something people wanted to see and pay for because of who he is...not because of his skill level. So I politely disagree. He didn't "deserve" to be in there. He didn't bleed like the rest to get a main card spot and get paid half a million in the process. Punk deserves to fight in the ufc as much as Justin Bieber does...he has no experience but try and tell me you wouldn't wanna pay to watch the Biebs get smashed lol same thing man...

CM Punk did MMA a big favour. Over many weeks and months he showed us how hard these guys train and practise. He showed how scary the whole deal is and then when it came to fight he showed us why MMA fighters need 10 years + to even start rounding out their game. Big balls and kudos to Punk. He stepped up, tried his best and then lost without much fuss. But in doing so he gave the world an insight into the game and the incredible athletes that constitute the hardest of sports. During Punk's blogs and Evolution series he took us all on a ride inside that world. He showed us two things: this shit's for real; and, in a different way - so is he.

Well he actually did give up he didn't go 15 minutes lol he tapped in 2 minutes. Not sure what fight u were watching where punk put up this crazy fight but he didn't throw a punch he didn't defend the takedown he attempted no submissions from guard he even fuckin cheated by holding the fence w his feet he didn't show any ability to control mickeys posture or avoid the punches. Fucks sake that was a complete asswhooping and ur saying he put up a fight till the last minute? This isn't wwe mate

Ocean Mako in case you're too dumb to understand he meant "to the last minute" as in cm punk lasted as long as he could in there

For a person That has never fought before, He fought as much as he could. He even fought the rear neck choke as long as he could. And he was getting hammered hard in the face. other people would have quit the fight. Example: Conor Mcgregor. He didn't even fought the rear neck choke. He was actually happy the fight was over. I believe that I said he needs more training. Clearly Punk was training for a stand up fight. I would like to know why Dana White thought that it was a good Idea to match him against a wrestler. The guy doesn't deserve hate because he went in there to fight. He didn't deserve to fight in the UFC in the first place, but , hey, You have a two time champion that didn't fight his way to the top, yet you all celebrate his victories as though he was the real deal. I don't think the UFC is a sport anymore, so you can have Mel Gibson fighting Trump it wouldn't matter. So CM Punk proceed

You clearly missed the weak punches he threw from bottom. You'll have to find another reason as to why you love a man who is oblivious to your existence now.

Fact: Brock Lesnar actually advised Punk and helped him throughout his path to UFC 203 and they kept close contact. If you think im lying, just look it up... So no, your argument is invalid sir.

I doubt it, he probably respects Punk for stepping into the Octagon a lot more than half of the keyboard gutter cunts who hate on him online who have likely never competed in any impact sport in their lives.
