i wonder how many fighters made some last minute adjustments after watching one of Dan's breakdowns
@baallOu128 жыл бұрын
ulises belmonte no one probably...don't you think their camp must have analysed more...they always have a game plan as soon as they get an opponent
@ulisesbelmonte83548 жыл бұрын
djvallfor2 yeah but sometimes somone else can catch something that other people miss when analyzing a fight.
@SeenaSpeech8 жыл бұрын
No one makes last minute adjustments, the training is done way before. A week before the fight, nah mate.
@lxchronic420xl8 жыл бұрын
I'd say quite a few of them but none of them willing to admit lol
@mannym76908 жыл бұрын
Most times, these fights are over analysed, and the fact that no 2 fights are the same is mostly ignored. The best fighters, the very best fighters are mostly interested in their opponents repetitive patterns, work around it and then leave the rest to pure instinct. Having a game plan is a good thing, but the best attribute of any fighter or any competitor is the ability to be fluid. The greatest martial artist teacher of all time- Bruce Lee- can't stress the importance of fluidity enough in his teachings. Making adjustments is the mark of a true fighter.

Damm.. Dan Hardy had some amazing analiticle insight.. Definitely need to watch this show more often.. Had mad respect for him in the GSP fight. Never tapped out when most people would of. He was caught in some major arm bars that night, and somehow managed to manuever out of them.. He had some great knockouts and was fantastic to watch.. I'm definitely a fan of this show... Keep it up Dan 👌👍
@lutherblissett78738 жыл бұрын
He won't come back to the cage. He makes more money outside the cage and he is too smart to get his face and body slowly destroyed by some bums. Also he retired because of a heart condition and that is still there
@mikejones12988 жыл бұрын
Luther Blissett destroyed by bums? Dan is the fucking bum do you remember his losing streak. He didn't get finished by gsp, who does? I remember when Carlos took his fucking soul.
@lutherblissett78738 жыл бұрын
Mike Jones Hardy was a great MMA fighter. He looked wild and crazy with those looks but he was 100% aware of his limitations and he had one of the highest IQs inside the cage of the fighters of his time. He had a pretty god career and yes, Condit caught him in a crazy exchange but you can't judge his whole career because of that. Btw, I always thought that GSP could've break his arm so bad but he just wanted him to tap and waited too much

Dan Hardy is a fight genius, I love how he breaks it down for us and 'splains it in a way that anyone could understand, but manages to still keep it technical. Gives great insight into just how many intelligent and instinctive decisions are being made by these fighters at every second. When someone who isn't an amateur or pro fighter watches these fights they aren't gonna notice these things, especially as the fight is in real time and fast, whereas Dan has the benefit of being able to slow the footage down and then enlighten us. Gives me a much deeper appreciation and respect for the sport, and I already had tonnes to begin with. Can't wait until tonight, my money is on Mousasi, clear victory, and Johnson but it ain't gonna be an easy win by any stretch of the imagination.

Seems that as soon as Weidman isn't facing old men he gets taken out. Title defences against Lyoto, Anderson and Belfort. Not hating, but I think Gegard's too young and too elite.
@gilbertrivera13198 жыл бұрын
Thgilmai Eesuoyod true but his Atletisism and Wrestling background made Joel a freak of nature... His age was clearly no factor in that fight
@dillonahluwalia1518 жыл бұрын
Old? Look what Anderson did to Stephan Bonnar by moving upto 205 (before fighting Weidman). Anybody who gets title shot gets it after a successful winning streak. Machida had two successive performance of the night before fighting Weidman (one was against *Mousasi*) Belfort had three successive knockout of the night wins (Hendo, *Rockhold*, Bisping) Weidman fought old men? I don't think so.
@aussiemma84268 жыл бұрын
Chris Garrod he was very competitive against Rockhold and Romero. He just made mistakes and got caught simple as that.
@kreedsutherland42078 жыл бұрын
He split that fuckers head in half to be precise.
@sm0keyMcP0t4208 жыл бұрын
@Chris Garrod Yoel Romero is older then Vitor and Machida and only a year younger then Anderson. I don't think it has as much to do with the age of these guys as much as it does that the UFC MW division is just way better talent wise then 3 or 4 years ago or during Andersons reign.

In one of his latest interviews Jacare admitted that his last win over Mousasi was lucky. Direct quote:"Gegard Mousasi deserves the titleshot, and he will beat Weidman. Yes, I defeated him in our last fight, but the truth is that I had a good day, and he didn't. Gegard is a very dangerous fighter."I am not bullshitting. Jacare indeed said that, and if your former opponent who DEFEATED you says that, well, it definitely means something.

Chetterfields comment below says it all perfectly! Only casual MMA fans don't know what a killer Moussasi has been over the past 6-7 years. He's a former strikeforce middleweight champion who dominated most opponents. For whatever reason the Fertiita era UFC were not a Moussasi fan. He bounced from Pride to strikeforce etc. If he just improves his takedown D a bit..he can very likely become the 185 champion in 2018!

Mousasi's balance comes from the fact that he is a judo blackbelt. The reason that he is so good at grounding and pounding is that he is a sambist is well!! That is why His ground and pound has some similarities to Khabib' nurmagomedov!
