I like them both but. How does Joe Deem Holloway as the greatest featherweight champ ever when he only defended three times? Aldo ruled the division for close to a decade.

@@carpentertrim maybe not the greatest featherweight champ of all time but definately the greatest featherweight of all time. And he defended 4 times successfully - Aldo twice, Ortega, Frankie. He is the greatest featherweight as of now because he beat the consensus best, Aldo, twice definately and cleaned out the entire division.

Yung Reefy Thanks, the thing is Aldo peaked years ago. Max probably peaked last year before he tried light weight. I believe it’s a mistake comparing a fighter in their prime to a fighter past their prime some of which defended their belt many more times.

Both of their reactions to the "50-45" score told the story. Holloway's reaction was like, "I did THAT good?" And Volkanovski's reaction was like, "Yeah. I did pretty good."

The way Volkanovski feints with his body movement was so beautiful, so unpredictable. The way he changed the tempo and closed the distance was so well done. God damn, perfectly executed game plan.

Bullshit Alexander was losing in most of the punching exchanges during the fight couldn’t take him down. The only striking category Alexander won in was the leg kicks max had him beat in everything else. I guess 10000 more leg kicks win the fight ehhhh🤔

He had adrenaline and just got done with a 25 minute MMA title fight for hundreds of thousands of dollars and lost half of his check, got beat up and got his leg chopped, and lost a title that took him forever to earn. He’s not going to be a great guy to interview question wise.

Clayton C. Volkanovski controlled the entire fight. Sure neither man was in danger but Alex stuck to the game plan and won at least 4 rounds possibly all 5. Max was on his back foot and barely landed anything of quality and he got his legs chopped. Not close at all except for 1 round.

I don't get it. How do so many people - including Cormier and Holloway - think that this was close? Alexander just shut down Max. Outstruck him, with more power, kept going forward most of the fight, and reduced his legs to a pulp. 49-46 Volkanovski.

Great fight. Alex did it tough against a guy 6 inches taller and a long way from home in Max's backyard, but it was a fair call. Great to see the sportsmanship between both guys, and as always Max retains his wonderful champion's upbeat-persona. Its tough to take an L, but Max did it with amazing grace. W to Alexander for a brilliant fight, and props to Max. Australia

Nah it was the variety of combinations Volkanovski offered. He never allowed Max to figure him out. Although the body shots were effective. Even with all the leg kicks, Mad Max was still moving forward with the pressure.
