I remember once having a hard time to stomach certain things in fights, but after watching so many fights with Joe Rogan's commentary and the audience screaming, I became desensitized. Perhaps it's a good thing to cringe when you see another person get hurt like this though. UFC is so entertaining that I oscillate between thinking it's better to not watch it and wanting to see the big fights. Like most things, it's probably just best in moderation. Also, it would be nice to see the respect level come back between fights since martial arts is rooted in respect and not WWE fake hype.

Yea because hes never been this calculated before. He has certainly plugged many of the holes in his game. I've been saying for several years that though he may lose to some other guys, he is by far the worst match for Kabib. I just didnt think it would ever happen because he wouldn't get past Tony. Kabib wont be able to rag doll him like he does other guys. Kabib will have no choice but to strike with him.

@@warsamerashid4694 nah, he can still beat anyone including justin. He trained for Khabib, who's literally the opposite of Justin. His striking only exists to transition into grappling, Justin's grappling exists only to keep him on the feet. Tony trained for the complete wrong fighter. Why the hell would you not be into the 'audience thing'? If you enjoy fights it shouldn't matter if there are people screaming in the back or not. You've come to watch people scrap and show their skills, not look for 52 year old Karen in the crowd. Casual.
@TheGreenGobshite
@TheGreenGobshite 4 жыл бұрын
Moss Hahaha how funny you say “casual” yet you’re complaining about someone being immersed in the intimate side of MMA rather than the spectacle and entertainment side of it. If anything, preferring the crowd-less atmosphere and the sounds of the breathing, the sound of the punches and screaming of their team proves that they far from an MMA casual. It shows they really care about the actual art of MMA. Remind me, what does the A in MMA stand for?

This is a Performance on which any fighter would be most proud of. After all the years in training, you get to fight like this and you pull off such performance. Only sad part is when Justin fought his best fight, no one was there to see it. Not even his Parents who had watched everyone of his performances. I was feeling emotional when Justin climbed over the fence to the other side in excitement and climbed back in the ring looking around himself. He was celebrating it alone. @s hudson That is just an assumption, my friend. I'm a fan of both Tony and Justin. You're right, tony did get exposed in the standup today, but that is irrelevant to how he would fair against Khabib, or any other striker. Not every fight is the same. People are so quick to bash a fighter after a bad performance and call them overrated or bad. Look at yoel after his fight with Izzy, suddenly one of the scariest MWs of all time is referred to as the "statue of God." You don't go undefeated in the UFC for 8 years because you were fighting scrubs, it's ridiculous to think that way.

Catfish he doesn’t need to outwrestle him. The point is that Khabib won’t find it so easy to take down Justin. Stopping Khabibs takedowns near the center isn’t that hard - both Al Iaquinta and Conor stopped takedowns in the center, so of-course Justin being the best wrestler in the division, can do the same. It’s harder to stop Khabibs takedown against the cage - but again, Justin has such an extensive wrestling background, that don’t be surprised if he can stop Khabibs takedowns by the fence. From there if its a striking match, Justin would win hands down. It all depends on just how much better Khabibs wrestling is than Justin - I think its better than Justin but the question isn’t IF its better, the question is if its better enough...

I am not a fan of Tony F. but BIG RESPECT. Most of us are just enjoying watching somebody 's getting hurt and laughing on it with some drink and chips but nobody knows what does it mean to keep fighting and to welcome the pain for 5 rounds instead of quitting. He didn't even get down as he keeps taking all that punches.

Well said. Tony's rise came after legends I watched like Cro Cop and Chuck Lidell. But seeing their fall was similar to Tony's. Words cannot describe their warrior spirit, and damn does it burn strong, possibly too strong for their own good.
