@Fuck Me Usman might be boring, but when you think about it... the relationships he has had with so many fighters has led to so much entertainment that only he could bring. The back and forth with Askren and Woodley because they knew eachother before, the matchup with Colby where they knew eachother previously, had the same records with one loss... Colby beat the guy that beat Usman, and Usman beat the guy that beat Colby. Masvidal has history with him through Colby... and now he's fighting a former training partner, who he let stay at his gym while he went to train with one of the best striking coaches in the game. So now he's giving us a fight between two of the best trainers in the sport in Henri Hooft and Trevor Whitman. The guy really has been around and seen it all. So to be honest man, I'm glad he has been champ for this "era". Got some fireworks out of it.

It's not just clinching, it's controlling. If you trained wrestling/BJJ/grappling, you'd understand how much strength and effort it takes to hold a man against the fence, take him down, or control him for the larger part of 25 minutes. Also, did you miss his fight against Colby? So much clinching! If you'd rather watch simply striking, there's boxing, taekwondo, K1 and Muay Thai. This is mixed martial arts. If you don't appreciate all facets of it, don't watch it. It's not for everyone. :)

Agreed. This main evernt may sell 150k tops... probly less. Boring fighters... nobody cares about. Sad but true. Usman’s fight have sold well so far because of his opponents.. Colby, Masvidal...etc. He’s a good fighter.. but he’s like Woodley.. nobody gives a shit to spend their hard earned money to watch em fight. Nothing personal. You’re either rmarketable or not. This card needs to be a Fight Night fight. But since there’s a belt.. its a ppv. Sad. So i agree with ya.

I’m so confused. Everyone is an interim champ now? Story lines don’t make sense. Some fight cards are marketed well some are not some are marketed half assed. The fights used to mean something and held prestige. I’m going to ride my bike instead.
