Is crazy how Usman already beat the 4 top ranked guys in the division. He might have to beat all of them again because those guys aren’t going anywhere.

He’s a smart guy and knows lots of fans don’t like his fighting style, so he sometimes tries to trash talk a little bit to keep people interested but that’s just not who he is as a person, so it comes off as fake, and people get a weird vibe off it. If you watch his JRE he’s a completely different person.

Over the past year I’ve gained so much respect for Usman. I’m not the longest time fan, and I’ve gotten into mma as a form of coping for a lost one. When I saw Usman vs masvidal I thought very casually “oh he fought a boring fight” and what not, but over the year I’ve realized how dumb I was. He deserves all the respect and I’m so glad he won tonight. I genuinely believe he’ll run through masvidal again and whoever else with his mindset.

@Samuel Prime Fair point, man! His striking did look pretty sharp today. I just think Colby has a chance at defeating Usman because he can maintain a pace and volume. That could disrupt Usman’s jab. Burns threw heavy shots in the fist couple of minutes and then looked like he slowed down a little. Which is why Usman established the jab. Either ways, I think the next couple of fights in the welterweight division are going to be epic!

The argument that Jorge doesn’t stand a change wrestling against him is fair, but the man went 5 rounds against him on 6 days notice and yeah he got tired but he still did it, so with a full camp I’m sure his stamina wouldn’t be the issue.

@@otf8873 I don't believe so. He stood until the end we agree, but after the 3rd round, he was not dangerous. Usman just made the fight go length because he was cautious of his striking, Masvidal was the one that was supposed to be dangerous on striking but after the 3rd round, you can see he's only sending short hooks or middle kick cause he's too tired to make any sharp combination i believe. When i say he doesn't have a championship gas tank, i mean he wouldn't be dangerous after the 3rd round against Usman. And I don't think you can improve your gas tank just with a longer camp, that's something you can improve over the years not in 3 months time
