Masvidal stood his ground when this fight was booked the first time and in his interview with Ariel said he got pretty close to what he wanted to take it on short notice. I'm not sure what Masvidal asked for when they first fought, but combine that purse with the fact that PPV did more than a million buys, *it looks like he was paid what he was owed.*
