Every now and again this happens but I’ve been as conflicted as this. Both really deserve it. Jan could lose and get it back. Glover could win and just retire. That’s just personal but even as fighters I feel this is a tough one to call.

My son playing football, I was doing chain gang work so was very close to the action. It was both tough and thrilling. He had some of the opposing team threatening him too one time ha ha but the ref was all over it. For MMA, I recall when my first coach had a bout, it was the only time I felt like jumping in t here, like it was a fight and he was attacked and not a sport competition ha ha. Weird. We are primal creatures.

@0372vet, yes most see Yan as the champ but he broke the agreed upon rules anticipating Emmy award winning aljo to stand up. Aljo was a grounded opponent that took advantage of the situation and Yes aljo sold his injury with award winning acting but Yan can only blame himself. Yan losing cause of a illegal knee in the top promotion was dumb and surprising for someone of his caliber and no excuses should be made! Yan will be in kill mode trying to redeem himself and I hope he doesn't get caught cause of another mistake! personally i think karma is biting aljo right now with not being able to pass his medicals or aljo is just acting again! GSP and others mention how they barely trained the last 10-14 days so they are like mad dogs with all the pent up energy. They heal and are ready to go. Sure Yan has had success so far ha ha, but training too hard close to a fight seem a losing proposition.

@@asenqvorov1990 Sure, bro. You know more than GSP, Bass, coaches like Freddie Roach, Firas and so on. I was just watching a Chandler interview with the Schmo, done on Oct 27, and he mentions he's already smooth sailing till his bout... Of course some fighters need to burn themselves down to squash the nerves but still not optimal. And yes they all train as they are cutting weight, but a lot do easy stuff. Just get moving. While a few still train like madmen.

So many great personalities on this card. I knew Cory back in 2018, worked at a children's home with him. Was unranked at the time, but even then he knew he would be a champion. Super down to earth dude who always was happy to talk MMA with me. I definitely appreciated that. Also, Khamzat's english is getting better, he's gonna be an even bigger star in 2022!
