Well done for interviewing Volkanovski's actual head coach, Joe Lopez. The guy doesn't get the praise he deserves simply because he doesn't seek the limelight. Most people think that Eugene is his coach simply because he's always there to drop a soundbite for the media.

Volkanovski is a beast. The guy is so focused, great technique, not alot of holes. It's inspiring. Hope he doesn't start putting his hands down and talking shit much because he has potential to be champ for a long time. One of those mistakes/lack of respect for the opponent(although he his also using mind games and that can be a good thing) can cost him. We have seen it time and time again in every combat sport. A few miliseconds and it's over. He's probably pound for pound best right now but not alot of people respect him. Very underrated.

Guys, you know it's fair to give these men their respect. Let's stop calling them or their fights boring. For a beastly man like the killer Gorilla to cry, trust me he wanted that win and from his heart, worked for it within and outside the octagon. Too see Izzy clearly winning the fight, limping and hoping in pain yet being disappointed in himself to that point, it just shows they're human and deserve respect. If this is a sport we love, let's love our fighters too. 💯👍🏾

Nah Izzy is fuckin arrogant and boring. You reap what you sow. Talk all that shit, come out with a man’s ashes and don’t perform you can’t expect people to sympathise, especially when his recent last performances have looked exactly like this one. It’s stupid that anyone who isn’t a fighter isn’t allowed to critique his performance. The audience gets to do that within reason.

Yeah well if you're so invested in the sport where his performance can bum you out that bad then I'm curious if you were around for the George St-Pierre days. After he got knocked out by Matt Serra. I'm pretty sure he had like five or six fights that not only went to decision but the majority of them were pretty boring. It was mostly just George taking his appointment down at will holding them and doing enough to dominate the fight. But at the end of the day he'll always be remembered as one of the best to ever do it if not the best in his weight class. Same thing Izzy will be remembered for

I think Volk is gonna find himself #1 in P4P after he moves up to 155 and wins a fight or two. He’s definitely gonna find some much stiffer competition but I think he’s game as long as he doesn’t have to fight Islam in his first LW fight. His strength may be too much to overcome. Featherweights and Lightweights all walks around 180-195lbs. He doesn't need to bulk up. FW and LW is pretty close. Even Poirier walks around 195 during his featherweight days. Volk is definitely not 170lbs on his offdays. He'll be fine there. Second. Man. Winner of Oliveira vs Volkanovski is going to be No 1 Pound for Pound/Took Usman's spot at P4P and gonna be the best and greatest fighter up to date. P4P vs P4P let's go. But if Volk wins he's gonna have 2 Belts which is much better. This is going to be a competitive fight just like Islam vs Charles. Neither guys are gonna punk each other.

Having a "boring" fight can be a sign of a great fighter, because the best outcome the opponent can get is a stalemate. Izzy need to be greater that great, establish a takedown threat & smesh them on the foot & on the ground!

All these comments slamming Izzy and NONE putting any blame on Jared; meanwhile Jared is as classy as ever throughout this whole video because he knows he’s been outclassed by the better fighter. Be more like Jared and appreciate the greatness. With that being said, boring ass main event compared to how it was advertised 😃

My goddd it’s never ever izzys fault is it it’s always his opponent it’s not it’s yield fault it’s marvins fault it’s Jared’s fault I do think some of the blame can be put on jared but that does not mean that Izzy shouldn’t. Be getting hated on after walking out to the undertaker theme song and holding a urn of jared and goes out there and leg kicks and throw a couple of punches every round

@@Normthemmafighter if you watched izzys fights before he was the champ he was arguably the most entertaining fighter in the ufc as he was doing the dance and initiating every encounter pretty much throwing his wild kickboxing, but now it’s not his job to initiate anymore as he leans on his counter attacks because he’s the champ and his opponents seem almost scared to get into striking range and they get picked apart by leg kicks but I do agree his last fights have been boring as shit but I do like seeing a striking masterclass even if it is all countering

Max said he's the heat heading into this third and final fight, but funny how the champ Volk proved to be the heat or fire extinguisher, three-peat indeed, what a great way for Volk to end this trilogy fight with Max, soundly beating Max for almost every second of the fight. Love to see the champ Volk chase double champ status since he's now cleared out his division.
@madgavin7568
@madgavin7568 2 жыл бұрын
I'd say Volk was the fire extinguisher if anything. He specializes in shutting down styles and game-plans, and thats exactly what he did to Max the third time round. Max was looking to do what he always does; pressure volume fighting. But Volk figured him out and stopped him every step of the way.
