It was really sad. Alex reacted to this fight much differently compared to the other ko. He actually aknowledge adesanya as a reason for his success and as a rival. He defined this as the hardest fight of his career and izzy as the greatest opponent, and for a guy straight forward as alex that mean that izzy represent a guy for which he has the utmost respect, even though he is a completely different person compared to him. It was sad seeing izzy in the press conference describing their interaction in a kind of mockery of alex accent, the dude never speak ebglish but came to him to try and interact anyway out of respect. That being said, it is easier being graceful in victory than in defeat (even though Poirier showed us that its not a guarantee)

Adesanya saying “I don’t like you, you don’t like me” seemed to catch Pereira off guard. It seemed to me like Pereira was trying too give respect and Adesanya was being a bit salty… which would be understandable but I think Pereira was trying too be respectful.

Dana doesn't allow people to build back up after a loss they way they do in boxing, Joshua will probably fight a lower ranking guy next in boxing. Wilder (3 ranking) just fought helanius (26 ranking) to get his mojo back. Woodley got thrown to the wolves constantly after losing the belt, it ended up destroying his career and legacy. Same thing has now happened to Reyes. Connor could use a lower ranking guy for his next fight now too.
