He's usually talking trash during the face off, during their first real face off, he looked away first and started mocking Alex who was talking trash, which showed that he didn't want to be in that moment and he had to play it off, he also stopped and brushed off his shoes because he wanted to bring the attention back onto himself after looking visibly shook it is also seen as a "cool" thing to do. In the Faceoff above, Izzy was swinging his arms like he was trying to look tough because he was trying to hide how nervous he was, he couldn't stay still and again, he looked down during the face off and was the first to look away. You truly don't have to be a body language expert to see that Adesanya was antsy and Alex was composed. I am sure you are the type of person who doesn't see opportunity when it slaps you right in the face because the signs are more obvious than telling who the killer in a horror film.

I'm not trying to discredit Alex or anything he's done, but he's just a sh*t ton slower. You can see it in his fights. He makes up for it mostly with his power, but it's still not to be ignored. I see he's going to miss a lot trying to hit Izzy with all the footwork, stance switches, angles, and also feints from different angles. This will result in Alex being heavily countered and possibly dropped or finished. You can go look back on the Bruno fight and see that committed strikes landed on Peiera, and although he seems to have a good chin, all it takes is one from either guy. He also leaves himself quite open, but people don't take risks and try to land on him because of his counter-left hook from the 9 levels of hell. Izzy exploited this and was standing and banging with him, and he nearly finished Alex, but harder hitters are always favored in inside fighting and got sent to the shadow realm.
