Was very surprised. More like the Perth crowd is great. But the Melbourne crowd. Nope. I went to Kambosos vs Haney for the lightweight title and they were booing during the American anthem, everything was just pathetic.

It was very nice seeing Islam do open work outs in his opponents homeland and the crowd cheering for him as respect. That’s what mma is all about. No booing or throwing stuff. Respect

Definately, thats what mma is brother. I was so angry screaming at the monitor at the Brazilian crowd when figureiro got alot of beer poured on him at the gate. That sht was embarracing and they should be ashamed of themselves. Kinda scares me that there are entire cities in some countries, where those antics are'nt absolutely shunned upon because thats some neanderthal type sht behaviour that still exists in some gene pooles i guess. It would take ALOT OF BS for me to get that irrational and angry that i start pouring beer on SUCH a good guy like brandon moreno... Like wtf...😂 brandon would eat every single one of them one on one and they ganged up on him for winning the fight. Pathetic behaviour i hope it doesnt happen anywhere else because we dont need another event like that. Most of them didnt even stay for glovers glove drop either. Fans of basketball players, football players, baseball players, boxers, soccer players, tennis players... none of their fans get these kind of inside looks at our favorite competitors. Thanks also to the fighters for enduring the inconveniences and hassle associated with being filmed so much. You guys all do an awesome job, and as a fan I'm super appreciative for the content.

Watching these really gives you an idea of the amount of pressure UFC fighters deal with during a big fight week. It’s not just train, cut weight & rest while you mentally prepare. It’s a gauntlet of interviews/appearances, weigh ins, press conferences & public workouts with speeches, all while starving yourself. This would by far be my least favorite aspect. I get that it’s all to build & sell the fight. But holy hell

I agree and I felt the same way when Poirier challenged Oliveira for the Belt. There are still some nice guys left in the UFC and I like it so much more if they don't trash talk and just show respect in this hell of a sport.

Man Islam Makachev vs Volk in Australia at UFC 284 was a true classic. A real back and forth war, masterclass performance by both. My favorite fight of 2023. Hard to believe it’s been 2 years now, time flies!!!!

I think we as fans have seen that these guys from Dagestan are something different and special. When fighting is all you know from the time you were born, you set yourself apart from the rest. Their community, their brotherhood, their faith/culture, and their atmosphere all combine to create the perfect fighter(s). Even the altitude these guys live and train at makes a huge difference! I’m equally a fan of Volk, but looking at this fight realistically, I really don’t think Volk is winning...

Method: cut a ton of weight to be oversized. Chain wrestle till they are too tired to fight. Win. It's really not that special. Russia is also very well known cheat-country.
