People want to hate Aljo for some reason but I really don’t see anyone beating him. Actually tbh some might call this a casual take but O’Malley might have the best chance at beating Aljo because he’s long, he’s big, he has power, and is good at picking his shots. Really the only way Aljo will lose to any of these bantamweights is if he gets KO’d and O’Malley would probably be the one to do it.

I dunno where all the confusion is, I had Aljo clearly winning, at the least it was 3-2 Aljo, possibly 4-1 depending on how you look at it. Aljo was outstriking Cejudo, definitely doing more damage with the strikes and leg kicks (Cejudo didn't damage Aljo at all), Aljo's stamina was better, Aljo seemed to have better angles and good head movement also. Cejudo was adamant that he was going to put Aljo out in the 3rd round, he was talking so much trash and saying that Aljo was going to be an easy win.. this wasn't the case, Aljo did lose the 5th round, but majority of the fight Aljo seemed to be the better fighter. The fight wasn't a landslide but i didn't think it was as close as some are making it seem. Aljo for sure won the fight. He still looks fresh in this press conference. He deserves respect at this point.

everyone pushing that narrative that he won just to get a rematch. He lost. Sterling looked fresh but he lost 5th and 3rd. That being said. He won. Leave it. Cejudo fight someone else. Enough cutting the line. Let him fight yan or merab - now what a fight that would be. Lets not shit on everyone elses work. Sandhagen is also on the line.

Respect to Aljo for getting the decision vs a great like Henry and cementing himself amongst the 135 goats. I'm a fan of both but I was more so rooting for Henry and athough I thought Henry could have just as easily got the decision it definitely wasn't a robbery. Aljo looked great....congrats! Wouldn't mind seeing them run that back but I'm not sure that makes sense...it for sure makes more sense than O'Malley getting the next shot, but hey, can't bank on the UFC match makers using logic in deciding who's next.
@ActuallyJozu
@ActuallyJozu Жыл бұрын
Nah, O'Malley makes more sense than a rematch. Henry was out three years, came back, and lost. Henry didn't do enough to get an immediate rematch. Seemed frustrated by Aljo's awkward style, range, and gas tank. O'Malley is at least coming off a win in the past year. Although I do think there's other guys that deserve the title shot more than O'Malley.
