It was a fair stoppage for a regular 3 round fight. But for a title fight? ABSOLUTELY was an early stoppage. Aljo was NOT out like some of you boys seem to think.

@@biggiesmalls7939 They know it was an early stoppage but because they wanted Aljamain to lose and O'Malley to be champion, they'll pretend that they care about fighters' safety and say it wasn't an early stoppage. Sterling was just about to get up the moment Goddard stopped it.

hell yeah!!! i was there as well, i am right outside Boston over the boarder in Pelham NH!!! You know what would have made the fans go crazy if Suga came out to Dropkick murphy's give it up for Boston song and walks out when it says give it up to Boston yea yea yea!!! they would have caused a earthquake, i remember last time Aljo was in Boston he said in the press conference when they asked how he likes Boston he said the place sucks and the people suck. Us New Englanders dont forget and we got a lot of pride, i hope one day i see a main event in Boston walk out to that song!!! I dont think i would ever go to one again there tho, my seats were far back and still cost little over a grand a seat. PPV best seat in the house these days!!! back in the day we used to get tickets cheap!!! The 1st ten rows were like 7-10 grand each, insane but it was fun!!!

Lemos nearly submitted weili a few times and cracked her hard as seen here…I’m just happy none of it was enough because weili is clearly the more superior fighter and fan favorite. It was a bad stoppage in the sense that it should have been stopped when Aljo had a flash ko on the ground from one of the punches. Anytime around then would have been a solid stoppage. Instead, the ref picked the moment that Aljo rolled around to try and get up, or at least, do that on the knees defense thing he does.

I still laugh when I think back to all the people saying Suga would lose. All the polls saying Aljo would win dominantly. HAHA! Real fight fans knew the whole time what was going to happen. Striker vs grappler is USUALLY a bad matchup for the striker. But not when the striker is as elite and precise as Suga is. This fight proved that. Grapplers have to learn striking techniques and practice head movement/reflexes/combinations. The striker only has to improve their TD defense. Fights start on the feet so the striker already has the advantage.
