I respect the shit out of Usman. He lost the belt via brutal head kick, lost the rematch, and is now fighting one of the scariest fighters in all of the UFC on 10 days notice. He’s bad ass man.

The hype for this card is insane. We have two main events. Massive respect to Volk and Usman for stepping in and saving UFC 294. And for Islam and Khamzat also for accepting to fight them.

Coach mendez is an emotional guy when it comes to respect, brotherhood, and loyalty. I think he misses abdulmanap alot too, and through his experience learned how abdulmanap was more than just a coach.

@@oday447 at their stage YOU dont train for an upcoming fight like it Will be a difference they have a certain skillset, they won’t suddenly reinvent the wheel and morph into something insane different fighting style. As a amateur we train 4-5 times a week constantly for years, 3 months intensive training most likely give more injuries, ALSO it’s only the cardio and repetition they work on, and most serious fighter do that stuff regularly - and khamzat is a golden example, he doesn’t care and he takes multiple fights within a week, because he has been in a training camp for 10 years straight. But the prima donnas in USA think they need 1 year preparation to fight somebody, a fucking street fight doesn’t wait, and true combative warriors should alway be rdy for the streetfight, that was the embodiment of MMA, we already have WW

Yeah, people forget that Islam and Chimaev organized their camps preparing for a certain type of opponent. Then you get something completely different. A reminder the "goat" Jon Jones refused to fight Chael who was a late replacement. And Chael has never been p4p like Usman or Volk. So respect to Islam and Chimaev 100%. It does go both ways

Normally when last minute replacement fighters step up, you feel the advantage for the one who has been in camp. But this one is different. Both replacements are KNOWN to always be in top shape. And to not have been through a grueling camp (mentally as well) has historically produced some upsets. And these replacements coming in as saviours of the card no matter the outcome. And the extra added energy and power that Usman probably will have is a Joker. But so is Khamzats. This is going to be IN-SANE.
