Psychiatrically, for sure. 😂 Seriously though it's not unusual for any fighter who has put in so much work to get a big money retirement fight which I suspect was his intentions and sometimes a fighter gets lucky and performs so well that they end up getting another big money fight off of it instead of retiring and Conor is the biggest money fight of them all. Aside from that, he probably wasn't losing money because of the other paydays/perks fighters get outside of the UFC for promos, merch, and various other sources. It's also not his fault Conor backed out, so there "could be" contractual obligations the UFC also has to pay to him. Paddy shouldn't be a bad draw for him either, so I suspect it didn't hurt his pockets in any way and realistically Chandler's not fighting up in the rankings nor would he have to cut weight to fight Conor at anytime in the future although I think we know Conor is done there's a possibility they fight on a different platform and still get a bag. Would be easy to sell. The storylines are already there. My 2 cents.

Paddy lost against Gordon and acted like it was fight of the year w/ a gifted win. Paddy has ground skills, but hopefully he worked on his striking and defense ( tuck that chin mate ).

Being English I want Pimblett to win. Being a huge UFC fan I see this as a very risky fight. Chandlar is extremely dangerous and Pimblett does tend to leave his chin out a bit too much. If, and it's a big if, Pimblett survives the first few rounds I see him taking the fight but even then it will be extremely close. Man, this is as close to a 50-50 as you can get.
