Psychiatrically, for sure. 😂 Seriously though it's not unusual for any fighter who has put in so much work to get a big money retirement fight which I suspect was his intentions and sometimes a fighter gets lucky and performs so well that they end up getting another big money fight off of it instead of retiring and Conor is the biggest money fight of them all. Aside from that, he probably wasn't losing money because of the other paydays/perks fighters get outside of the UFC for promos, merch, and various other sources. It's also not his fault Conor backed out, so there "could be" contractual obligations the UFC also has to pay to him. Paddy shouldn't be a bad draw for him either, so I suspect it didn't hurt his pockets in any way and realistically Chandler's not fighting up in the rankings nor would he have to cut weight to fight Conor at anytime in the future although I think we know Conor is done there's a possibility they fight on a different platform and still get a bag. Would be easy to sell. The storylines are already there. My 2 cents.

Paddy hasn’t shown me anything to think he’s ok the level of Chandler or the top contenders. His striking is funky and weird and has no power. His cardio is average. His strength is average. All he has is the submission game and Chandler has held out against the best in the game multiple times with sub defense….

But Chandler does put on exciting fights, though, win or lose. He's not going in there to pitter-patter, for points, like Leon or other very technical strikers; he's going in there to create chaos for his fans and haters. You either take him out or he's taking you out. That's what MMA fans like. In chaotic, crazy, young, big, and hungry Paddy, Chandler will either KO him or be subbed by the Scouser. People say if Charles couldn't sub Chandler, that Paddy can't either should remind themselves Dustin subbed Chandler; if you're hurt or you're in silly situations, due to stupid maneuvers, a skilled opponent could easily sub you. Chandler, again, is never one for being careful and methodical. Charles too methodical; Paddy is just as chaotic, so Chandler could easily get caught by the big, strong, young kid.

love both these guys....Chandler training like he has nothing to lose instead of enjoying the day......fighting is counter intuitive ....but paddy has more of a killer instinct

What amazes me is that these guys like Chandler driving around in Lambo’s , living in big houses, that stuff is coming to a close when the fight career is over. He’s not making life changing money. Only Conner and Jon did that.
