He randomly jumped up to point out one of my matches was misscored at the IBJJF in Nashville last year. He advocated hard for me, as I was robbed of 2 points I needed to win (a sweep the ref didn’t count) He’d even filmed the match and had it to play back. Granted, he wanted me to go against his student for the finals, so he had a reason to do it, but it was cool he stepped in on my behalf, me being a total stranger.

How did it take the UFC this long to do this?? I and millions of others have been begging for this for 20 years. As soon as The Ultimate Fighter broke through I was saying DO THIS FOR BJJ!!!!! When Metamoris had their run, which was an awesome production and I still don't know they F-ed that up and collapsed, I've been saying do a TUF-style BJJ series. At the very least you'll have UFC fans learning how cool JiuJitsu can be once you start to recognize and understand the positions, which will grow the UFC. The majority of fight-fan types of people who don't like MMA all say it's because of the grappling. This is a WIN WIN for MMA anyway you slice it.

Good catch, after your comment I re-watched the match. Your observation appears accurate. I really hope this doesn't end up being a series of Guard pulling and Spamming chain submissions. A fundamental rule for all grappling styles is control of a position, example back points in wrestling etc.

Awesome. And Mikey is such a dork in the best sense..! Such a help for his team! Pitty that Gabriel cant support his "sheep" so well in the match probably because of language barrier.. Awesome match, Isaac and Keith were such a good matchup.. well mosty, so good bjj fighters..!! Awesome match and i know almost nothing bout bjj personally but nevermind😅😊!!! Thx guys. Am a fan of all four competing so far!!

Man this is so sick, imagine this developing into huge events like ufc ppv. Maybe just start putting some fights in a UFC event to test it with people, at least you will know there will be a finish something that is lacking with fighters like Usman

So is the other guy gonna coach for his team or is Andy gonna do all the work for him?

I’m sure the language barrier is hard for him. Andy & Keith are both 10th planet as well so they’ve trained together before

Rerisson Gabriel has so much talent/skill, and all respect to them, but the language barrier for coaching is a noticeable disadvantage mid match. Your opponent's coach is fluently yelling useful, detailed instructions, and all you get is "keep heavy, he doesn't like your weight on him".

I mean they're both 10p so it makes sense he is coaching him

They should replace that coach with Craig jones or Gordon Ryan imo
