Zabit is probably the best fighter in all areas that I've seen for that weight class. Top tier striking, top tier grappling, creative, accurate, top tier endurance. I hope to see more of his fights because other fighters that I've seen such as Yair Rodriquez, Lando Vannata, Justin Scoggins, Stephen Thompson, Galore Bofando, Sage Northcutt; they all have amazingly beautiful fighting moments but lack the overall balance of skills and as a result, they fight top tier fighters that can be tacticians and they are all shutdown; and as a result you do not get to see any flashy moves because they are shutdown so bad. Zabit! He doesn't get shut down, I haven't seen anyone out-grapple / out-wrestle him yet. He looks like Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Beebop and he is entertaining to watch with all the fancy kicks to boot.

I'm quite impressed by how good DC has been as he's been aging. Age doesn't take as much of a toll on the heavier weight classes, but nonetheless he's a couple months from being 39. He's not the absolute pinnacle of it, Yoel Romero is mind boggling at 40, but DC is showing pretty great longevity Beat Rumble and Gustaffson when he was 36 and they were 28 and 31 respectively. Then beat Rumble again when he was 38 and Rumble was 33. Even in the losses against Jones, he put up quite respectable performances at 38 and 35, while fighting one of the GOATs (though whether that ability was entirely legitimate is now in question) at ages 30 and 27. Cormier is older than Frank Mir, Michael Bisping, Bigfoot Silva, Andrei Arlovski, and Rashad Evans.

I used to love Griffin back in the day. I heard he has had bad money problems, and recently considered returning to the sport. Regardless whether the ufc would take him back or he would most likely only be able to reach the retirement home of bellator, anyone who signed him up deserves prison. Although he was never the articulate type, he is slurry as fuck now and ended his career like another great guy in Matt Hughes, getting KOd once that resistance and resolve went. I hope does well in analysis or helps coach young hungry guys and keeps out of the cage.
