I was watching while I was at work, so I wasn’t watching well and I wasn’t listening with commentary. It seemed like Said won rounds 1 and 2 but after reading everyone’s opinion I must be dead wrong on round 2. I’ll have to rewatch it more closely I guess. It did seem like a great, competitive fight to me though.

I’m not an Izzy fan at all but let the guy go out of his shield. So sick of this with Goddard in main events. Was Izzy gonna get out of that? Highly unlikely. But we’ve seen guys win after being hurt worse. Why not give him until you’re 100% certain it’s over? That was the first sequence of the fight in which he was hurt, it’s not like he had taken too much punishment prior and everyone had seen enough. People are saying “he was covering up not intelligently defending”for like one or maybe two seconds… would it really kill Goddard to give a guy a few more seconds before calling a TKO? More fans need to call this out because it’s a constant problem with Goddard.

Hey i was rooting for Izzy and i haaaate big head Goddard 😭. Izzy doesn't do mistake until he's tired. That was too much and for the first time, Goddard made a good decision. Man was receving punishement from the back and it was difficult to see how he gonna handle this. Izzy lost his sharpeness and his accuracy. Age, time? Dude was a great athlete but now, they capitalize on his mistakes. Why the F he extended his arms instead of protect his face? I've seen that bad habits since 1rst Peirera MMA fight. Too much footage from a dominant champ, my man have to go soon. That's was a great era. Just enjoy the show and i'm worried that he can finish like Fergusson 😔

I thought the stoppage with Izzy was a tad early, especially bc I assume pre-fight they tell judges to let them go out on their shield (not to mention if it’s happened before I.e. w/ Alex)…but, if they’re concerned they should not rely on body language being accurate and should also be saying things like, “I’m ok ref!!” during, which we rarely see.
