To give a 10-8 for grosso in the last round is a big shame for the sport. Judges who can not handle the pressure from the crowd must be banned for life.

Mexican independence definitely influenced the judges, especially Mike Bell. 100% agree with Valentina. Valentina won the whole round until the last minute and some seconds. However, that round doesn't justify 10-8. Good competitive fight. Nonetheless, Valentina won 3-2. For that judge to who scored it a 10-8 decision, the people are being lied too, dishonest, and delusional, having a fake champion. Most importantly, Alexa.

Shevchenko landed more strikes to the head in rounds…. 1,3,4,5. A couple weak body punches does not mean Grasso outstruck her in round 4. Shevchenko CLEARLY outboxed her. Don’t cherry-pick stats bro

This shouldn't be Schevchenko's win anyway. She lost clearly 3-2. Very strange scorecards with 10-8 in 5th round on top. If judges wanted to promote mexican fighter they had reasonable rounds to give to her, and not score 3 out of 4 first rounds for Valentina

After that fight usada state commission got involved and the judge got in trouble for the 10-8 it is a 10-9 not an 8.he was couched in the meeting for that that not to happen again. State commission was going to reverse the ruling and put valentina as the clear winner 48-47 but she didn't wanted that rather have a Rematch u are wrong. The judge should of put 10-9 even though valentina . Stats showed valentina did more clear hits, punches and kicks than grasso. On last round

@@kafkick82 agree, r4 is the round in question.. grasso should of got that on at least 2 score cards...10-8 is because grasso won by every measure more strikes more thrown and 25% control time along with near finish. def was surprised at first but if look at stats grasso won that prtty dominantly. round 3 val got reveresed and nearly subbed. so no 10-8.. no 10-8 for grasso in rd 2 because val had 3 min of control time. overall grasso landed more punches and had bigger moments and did more with her ground game. close fight but she should of got the W, most agreed until saw 10-8.

She will always be considered one of the best to ever do it and 5 years ago would probably put current Grasso to sleep, but what if are nothing more than fantasy. She just needs to retire and let the young ones take over.

Judge Mike Bell felt the pressure of the crowd and didn’t want backlash for not giving Grasso the fight, so in round 5 he gave a 10-8 for her so she wouldn’t lose. I’m not making a joke here, it’s so blatantly obvious that’s what happened 🤣.

Even at an absolute BEST case scenario, the 5th round was 10-9 to Grasso (and that's being generous, as she did nothing other than attempt the choke). Under those circumstances, Valentina get's the win. Mike Bell knew this, so changed it to a 10-8, to at least make sure Alexa didn't lose in Mexico. This guy needs to be held accountable. Valentina won that fight and her assessment is spot on. Also, Alexa being corrected on thinking she won by DC was hilarious lol. Alexa is treating this as a win.

I understand you gotta he confident and have a killer mentality, but she refuses to give Alexa any credit and is just delusional at this point. Nah, Grasso 2-4-5. If the judges were "feeling the pressure" it would have been unanimous for Grasso. She's just a bad loser.

Grasso had good moments but Valentina definitely won. UFC is just a company always trying to maximize profit. I like Grasso but she was kneeing Shevchenko in the head 2 or 3 times when Valentina’s hand was on the floor.

man I hate this. not just the terrible scoring by Mike Bell but also the timing. It's no secret Valentina is nearing the end of her prime at age 35. Add to that the fractured hand, she'll be 36 for her next fight. And the division is so much skilled than it used to be. She might have been robbed of her last championship. we could have had a passing the torch moment sometime in the future but now it's ruined.

This fight low-key reminded me of Volk vs Makhachev. How the fight was so close but volk finished strong, so im glad Grasso got her win. I love valentina as well but fight was so close, & like tio Dana says never leave your destiny in the hands of our judges

I agree with the draw but not that score card lol the only round that was close was the 4th so I thought I misheard the score and it was 48-48 and thought to myself "ok I can see how that could be scored a draw" but then I saw that 10-8 and I lost my mind 😂 that was not a lopsided beat down that was in danger of being finished multiple times. That should have been a 10-9 and even though I agree with a draw being fair, the judge clearly scored it wrong and Valentina should be champ

@@KONAMAN100 exactly however to his credit (I'm not defending the score at all lol) he was consistent throughout the night, Mike awarded at least 3 other 10-8 rounds with only one judge agreeing with him in one of those rounds and as Dom and DC said even though they don't like the score the state commissions have said they want the judges to be more open to awarding 10-8 rounds so there's some added components at play

Everyone talking about the 10-8, but ignoring the fact that a couple of judges also gave round 4 to Valentina. Grasso won 2, 4 and 5 and should be the winner, Valentina is lucky it's a draw

People keep calling out the judge who scores it 10-8 but nobody questioning the judge that scored the fight for Grasso. It takes two judges for a fighter to not win.

I don't understand how Mike Bell scored the fifth round a 10-8 for Grasso, a round she was losing for a good portion, but not score round 3 a 10-8 for Shevchenko. She dominated that round. His criteria doesn't make sense. Regardless, none of the rounds should had been scored a 10-8.

This was a close fight and could have gone either way, hats off to both fighters seriously amazing bout. But Valentina is right, there has been a pandemic in combat sports of both UFC and Boxing of robbing Eastern fighters blind. Everybody knows Golovkin beat Canelo in their first mega fight, Lomachenko vs Haney was highway robbery. Petr Yan has been robbed multiple times now.

This. Granted 10 - 8 in the fifth was off, Grasso still won the round and a argument could be made that the 10-8 should have been scored in the second round, as the stats support it. Draw was fair. Valentina did very little with the ground control time she had. Lots of wasted minutes there.

Some are looking too much into the 10-8 scorecard. Alexa clearly won 2 rounds and Valentina had 2, with one of the rounds being a toss up. Alexa won the closing round and dominated the closing minutes. She is the champion and Valentina did not do enough to take the belt.

Rubbish score card in the fifth and fourth. Grasso won 3-2 based on damage in the fourth. Those legal knees and clinch shots were by far the most impactful shots of that round. I agree, the 10-8 score card in the fifth was trash.

btw people saying the judge was biased. Most of the scorecards on tv had it 2-2. If Bell was biased he would have give another round to Grasso and it would have been 48-47 Grasso and nobody would think anything about it. But it's pretty clear it wasn't a 10-8 round.

Valentina should move up to 135lb, she can easily beat Pena 50 × 43 or submit or k.o. her, which she already did the past and 135lb division is behind than 125lb, it's same ol' top fighters, Holm, Pennington
