I want Jorge to have a chance so, so bad. Unfortunately i think we are witnessing a Khabib-like reign over 170 in Usman. People constantly underestimate him, and i think we will look back in disappointment that the matchmakers gave us this crap instead of jorge/colby fight we all needed.

It's worth a rematch but it's not as close as people think. They were both landing similar volumes but the damage distribution wasn't equal at all, Colby was getting beat up bad and it caught up to him in the final round. Brutal.

I wish Paul Felder had more success in the ufc. I personally think a lot of decisions that don’t go his way should. He’s such an exciting underrated undervalued tough humble fighter. Very skilled.

Hes all that but for some reason hes never put it all together. Hes lacking some kinda something that puts guys away. He has the strength, stamina & technique but for some reason he never gets the finish, while guys like Cejudo & McGregor can blow the likes of Dillashaw & Aldo away with nothing more than a dirty look. Clinch is a 50/50 neutral position. If you're not doing damage from it you arent controlling anybody, yer stalling the action n running the clock down. Safety first, timidity. No different to a striker backpedaling & skirting the fringe of the cage, then swinging "aggressively" when nobody is near him. Its bullshit. There has to be an end product, otherwise the points system should reward the man thats being clinched, stifled & stalled. Watch the first fight with no volume/commentary & you can reasonably score it to Masvidal on actual aggression, as opposed to scoring it to Marty for aggressively stalling the action with his safety first #Timidity

It's all about Marty: if he does wanna play the Snoozeman part and keeping it safe, or if he s willing to take risks and exchange with Jorge...I ve the feeling he will choose the first option, we saw last time that whenever he exchanged he got serious problems..surely you can't learn how to wrestle in a few weeks, but neither you can t learn how to boxe properly in that short amount of time

But that fucked a lot of dudes out of a title shot they had a legitimate chance of winning like Jacqure, Romero and Weidman. The BMF fight was fun, but the UFC was originally created to see which martial art was the best and eventually evolved into who's the best at applying their style with a background in multiple martial arts. If we focus too much on fun money fights, we're gonna lose sight of the original goal of who's the best, which is what fundamentally drives the sport.

As good as Usman is (and he made me a fan of his last fight) Burns showed that he is able to be hurt and if Masvidal can hurt Usman and remain patient enough to hurt him more he can get the TKO.

Ofcourse it made a difference on 6 days notice...he had to go through a grulling 20 poundcut in 6 days, you know how brutal that is, you could see after the 1st round of the 1st fight his gas tank was nearly gone, usman only managed to hug him to death and stamp on his foot plus land shots that never really put jorge in any trouble and take the decision on points, now with a good camp it will be a lot closer, not saying he is gonna win but from what I saw and know from the first fight you can't count masvidal out this time, usman says he wants to put no doubt on it this time and stay mostly standing which I highly doubt he will do, but if he does then Jorge has a his best chance right there.

If Goddard is the ref then Masvidal has slim chance of winning, but if it’s a fair fight I think Masvidal beats Usman.... I’m just afraid that once Jorge hurts Usman and Usman starts his acting bit like he did in the Colby fight and Goddard interferes it could negative for Jorge... Anyway... Masvidal WINS in a fair fight!

Goddard is literally one of the best refs in MMA. Usman has taken out and finished legit title contenders, Masvidal hasn't fought one since Till in 2019. A depleted Till who was cutting too much weight. If Masvidal wins, god forbid, the division will be held up with Masvidal ducking Leon and Colby and only wanting money fights. Everyone in the top 5 has a great chance at beating Jorge.

I don't think Masvidal will win either, but where is this "Masvidal got 50-43'd" narrative coming from??? it was 49-46 on one judges card and masvidal suffered virtually no significant damage besides an accidental headbutt and toe stomps. I mean don't get me wrong, I know he's going to get held onto again. But where tf is a finish coming from?? Usman couldn't keep Masvidal in one place, didnt want to stand for a second with him, and didnt take any risks that whole fight. Why are we thinking its going to be a bloodbath or something?? lol

I don’t see how he can say Colby doesn’t deserve the rematch. He’s the only one that gave usman a problem, and he whooped up on woodley. Yea, now woodley has lost a few but he had only lost one fight before Colby. He’s playing it smart. He’s a douche bag, but he’s a beast in the ring and deserves a rematch more than masvidal.

Woodley was coming off 2 losses when Colby beat him. He had lost 10 straight rounds. Colby's last two wins are a washed Lawler and a washed Woodley. If a win over a washed Woodley merits a title shot, then I guess Vicente Luque deserves one too. Both Gilbert Burns and Edwards called out Colby. Meanwhile at 185, you have Whittaker beating Till, Cannonier and Gastelum. The top contenders at welterweight don't want to fight.

Masvidal will be close to 100% as any fighter could be with a full camp non the less. He has every right to compete and i personally will never doubt his skill set or drive. On the other hand tho is karmara and he is the real deal and not one opinion matters regarding that. #GOANDTAKEHISBELT

If Masvidal can keep the fight mostly standing up and off the cage then hes got a real chance, but Usman 100% fights to win, he'll do whatever it takes if Jorge starts beating him on the feet and definitely try to tie him up or take him down. The only question for me is whether Masvidal can defend this for 5 rounds while keeping his striking dangerous cos Usman aint gonna gas!
