I remember thinking Yair's career was dead when Frankie pounded him out. Dude went on to do more at 145 than Frankie could. Yair's become one of my favorite fighters. So dynamic, so unorthodox, dangerous everywhere at all times, and seems like a good dude. Can't wait to see his fight with Volk.

Saying I’ll fight “whoever” is giving up an opportunity for an easier fight and losing your chance for a bigger check by not selling the fight. I knew he'd win against Josh I predicted what Yair do except for submitting him. Thought he'd take him apart little by little but he still won. Should've been Yair vs Calvin it would been a good fight my opinion.

Yair gets better fight after fight. I wouldn't be shocked if he showed an improved version for his unification fight for Volkanovski. I don't think Alex can prepare for Yair, he just can't; he can even prepare for a Dagestani elite wrestler, for an elite boxer like Holloway, for a traditional kickboxer like Aldo, and american wrestler with overhands like Mendes.... but he just cant', plain and simple can't, prepare for someone as dynamic and unpredictably dangerous as Yair. I won't be surprised if Yair beats Volkanovski, either by decision or catches him with something on the feet or on the ground like he did with Ortega and Emmett.

Yair is great but Volk just demonstrated why he is the FW champion for a reason. He went toe to toe with the LW Champion and have his moments in that fight.
