Leon Edwards is a special fighter with a special story. I'm a big Kamaru Usman fan and before Kamaru fought Leon, he was impeccable. Easily the most dominant UFC welterweight since the great GSP but obviously his run came to an end after losing to Leon. As much as I was gutted for Kamaru, I was happy for Leon. I hope he smashes that circus clown Colby at UFC 296. Let's go Leon👊🏻👊🏻

In addition to Leons skills and high Fight IQ people forget how imposing when fighting in the octagon. -6'2, long body rarely ever gets hit but hits you, -long reach which helps him leverage in double hand wrist control which makes it harder for him to hold onto, -long leg reach which only makes his kicks so powerful, -so good fighting off the back foot that it’s hard to walk him down and KO him, - elite technical stand up, - good BJJ (really good at taking the back), -solid takedown defense, -and amazing get up ability so even if you take him down, he’s getting right back up. Colby got a really tough fight ahead of him. 👊🏾🇬🇧🇯🇲

I know he just got the belt and defended it once in a Rematch. Which for a lot of fans ain’t much in the record. But we can’t deny he been fighting everybody trying to get that title while avenging the loss against Usman twice in the process. That’s pretty impressive and he dominated a lot of his opponents, others he went through storms and still got the victory. IMO he is pretty impressive.

@@namk0163 exactly, he have fought anybody they put in front of him. He even tried to book the Mazvidal fight so many times to and when he became a champ is when Mazvidal wanted to fight him. Dude been fighting for that belt since day one.

On one hand, I wish to see Leon defending convincingly a bunch of times just because he's such a model fighter, and he needs more activity to boost his star potential much more. On the other hand, I daaamn wish to see the style match up between Leon and Shavkat 🔥 the new even more confident version of Leon might be just the right obstacle for the Nomad galloping through the division.

I really like Leon and really hate Colby, but I believe with 100% certainty that Leon will lose. Relentless fence grabbing helped him against Usman, but no way does he get so lucky with the next ref, and Colby will be relentless.
