As a Brazilian, it's sad that the UFC didn't spend a few hundred bucks translating and adding subtitles to his interview for the English-speaking audience. He is a respectful guy and gives great answers with subtle interesting moments. It would help everyone get to know him way better than these rushed live translations.

I always turn on auto-translate for such interviews. Google auto-translate does a much better job than these live translators who miss half of the points in what the fighters say.

Hearing how Alex would like to be good friends with Izzy in the future says a lot about him as a person. I was a Izzy fan way before I knew of Pereira but I must say Alex is a stand up guy and has gained my respect this last year or 2.

@balón 9991 it's not just about the translation, it's about the delivery as well. Yes he knows Portuguese well, but his English is subpar and not at at the level of a professional translator. Ufc has a few that are very good, one is a male Portuguese Translator that actually does a fantastic job. Also, I speak 3 different languages how would you know if I speak or understand Portuguese?

This champ fights 3 fights in a single night in GLORY. He would have ran it back the same night. THIS IS A DIFFERENT LEVEL FIGHTER THAN A UFC FIGHTER. He doesnt need or want months between fight.

There is two reasons why Israel can't beat Pereira. 1- Pereira is better at landing shots than Adesanya is at defending them. 2- Adesanya doesn't have a way to actually finish Pereira. As long as Adesanya doesn't find a way to fix this he will keep losing to Pereira.

Izzy was winning by the rounds. A leg kick really stunned his nerve and he wasnt able to move well before the finish. Izzy almost finished Alex but was saved by the bell

Izzy never seized up, he was just plain hurt after taking damage and having kicks checked, he just wants to hide behind excuses. You Izzy nutriders really need to rewatch fights without commentary, Pereira was dismantling Izzy, only got smacked AT the bell because he was trying to close the round - the round Pereira was winning until after the bell sounded.

I love how Alex’s personality shining now even more. It’s scary to think that he’s just getting started and still getting better. I wish them both good health and a safe and explosive match at the same time. I hope Alex wins but he’ll have to knock out Izzy again. Or keep the pressure and throw combinations. Immediate rematches are famous for favoring the new champ. And he's already 3-0 in previous fights. The issue seems to be EVENTUALLY he will hit you hard enough to stop you. Izzy's skillset is insane... no one can deny that. But the power difference is unreal for the weight class. This guy hits like a heavyweight, partially because he probably is weighing around 220 on fight night. He's got an easy 20 pounds on Izzy and a known crazy chin. He's just about the worst matchup for someone who out techniques everyone. He's the one guy with the skill to hit him, and the mentality to make it dirty enough to throw Izzy off. All 3 of their fights have been great and I'm not counting Izzy out. But if I had to put money on it, I'm going with Pereira in round 3.

He's 211 during the fight. And he walks around with the same weight that Costa, Jared and Romero have. The difference is that he is taller and not as buffed. In reality those have more strength than Alex. The difference is the reach and the technique.

Dan there's plenty of money to have automatic translation on the bottom of the screen in English. I truly believe translators and I have seen it being bilingual haw they skip and dont fully translate the message or response with full accuracy.😢

2:30 Alex makes good point on how he saw the fight going, he like many others saw he winning the first round until the last 4 secs, then got the second, the third round he got off balanced which he mentioned that it wasn't a takedown by Izzy even although he lost the round but until the point he was doing well, forth was Izzy's then, 5th he's done the whole work until the fight got stopped. It's frustrating to hear how Izzy sees their last fight, 0 credit to Alex's fighting skill. Izzy and his fans think of how dominated he was but in reality it wasn't dominating at all, it was a very close fight and if it wasn't for that last 3 secs in the first round, by the 5th it would be even. We, shall see how Saturday goes.

I honestly cant see whittaker getting smoked by alex. Whittaker has pretty impressive takedown abilities. I do think its possible he can get caught and dropped but i think the chances of that happening are a lot lower with whittaker since he has the ability to take alex down and minimize the time standing up. Either way its a fight id hate to see. Those two are probably my favorite fighters at the moment so itd suck to see any of them lose

I dont dislike either fighter, but Izzy beat: Robert Whittaker x2, Yoel Romero, Kelvin Gastelum, Anderson Silva, Marvin Vettori x2, Melvin Guillard, Costa, Cannonier and more... I mean come on.. Would really like to see how Alex would have taken on such a line up.

Wow Maybe the only guy who doesnt have Cauliflower Ears in the UFC, and in MMa is general , and being probably the best striker in the world , Crazy how his ears have held up. I think Adesanya is a little scared of this guy and for good reason. Dangerous fighter
