Two fights Dana will want to see Alex do before offering him a chance at Heavyweight. 1. Middle heavyweight against Magomed Ankalaev. Should rompt that one in. 2. The trilogy against Israel Adesanya would attract a lot of interest Once these two are done and dusted then if Alex wants to move up to Heavyweight he could look at a few of the lower ranked fighters in the say top 15 then if all goes well make a charge to fight the top 3. It’s mind boggling that this conversation is already happening but realistically apart from defending his current belt at light heavyweight what else is left for him to do?

The Chama explanation: "Chama" in Portuguese can be a noun (meaning fire ) or a verb (to call, to call out, to invoke ). Poatan uses it as a verb in the second person singular in the affirmative imperative mode. It means: I'm ready, call me (chama)... I'm willing, you can call me (chama).

The difficulty in understanding or even explaining "chama" is due to the fact that Poatan makes a very particular use of the term. He probably took it from some song lyrics and adopted it as his own catchphrase.

I remember him using in the beginning of his UFC career, and as a Brazilian I thought it was cringe at first 😂 due to the fact that I thought that Americans wouldn’t understand “chama”. And low key , “chama” catch phrase worked so well. I never commented or told anyone that I thought it was cringe, but latter I noticed how all the fans loved, and I learn one more lesson, go with your vibe always and F people opinions and thoughts.

@@joefilms2775the thing is that Izzy beat him when Alex was cutting 60 pounds. Hill and Jiri hit harder than Izzy. He took flush shots from both and didn’t flinch. Alex is a different monster when he isn’t cutting over 50 pounds to make weight.

@@A_Easley He is truly a monster a very big man walking around 250 lbs 6'5 lean and shredded - easily a giant. Hill and Jiri didn't hit him at the right spot at the right time, they are really unable to hit Alex anything if any. The punch that landed at the right spot, at the right time is the one putting someone's lights out and not the hardest shot thrown and that is the one that KOd Alex cold. In fact with Alex in comparison to Izzy, he has all the physical advantages for being a really big man right there. It will only be a matter of time before he gets hits with a true flush shot again - just didnt happen yet at the LHW division.

People who think he’s fighting ankalaev next are naive. Ankalaev’s win was johnny walker. Before that he illegally knees the same guy. And before that gave one of the most flustered title fights in ufc history. He’s gonna need one more win. Meanwhile Alex will fight up, probably Jones since Jones actually believes this is an easy fight for him. Makes the most sense too. Pereira is too valuable an asset right now to risk losing all his steam to a smudgefest with Ankalaev.

Amazing Alex is older then JJ and has done more then any other fighter in such a short time we all forget a guy named Izzy who was the UFC poster boy. As GSP did in his career he is a respectful MMA fighter who does his talking in the ring and at 37yrs old to say what ever comes his way i'll take it on and fight who ever UFC throws at me. To me that is incredible what a warriors spirit . A GOAT regardless what the future holds for Alex huge respect and he one scary dude universal soldier.
