in the latter half of his career, he tested positive for steroids and suffered many losses due to his age, but he fought even with a broken leg, showed his manliness by fighting Cormier with an offer two days before, and fought a close match with Adesanya in his return fight after two years, even though he was already 43 years old. Even after retiring from MMA, he boldly took on boxing even in his late 40s. Anderson is one of the great GOATs.

NICK did really great against Silva. Honestly, waaaaay closer than what i thought would happen. Especially being the smaller guy versus a top 1, 2, or 3 GOAT of all time. Think about that for a sec. NICK went 5 rds with 2, of the top 3 goats of all time. Gsp, Silva. Pretty impressive.

nah, can't agree with that. silva dominated and nick had no shot. nick was backing down every round, always on the defensive. thats how he lasted 5, he just played keep away, but silva was too quick for Diaz.

I was so excited for this fight, and in the end was left wondering what the fight would have looked like with "pre-weidman" silva.

Nick was suffocated in the last rounds. If that elbow, front kick or spinning kick hit him, it would have been the end of the fight, but Diaz dodged it well. He knows how to disguise the scares he got with forced provocation and a high guard.
