He also doesn't get the credit for revolutionizin leg kicks targeting the calf no one was throwing calf kicks until Ben utilized it against Frankie and their fights to neutralize Frankie's movement and it still took some time for folks to start adding it to their skill set now it's as common a technique as an overhand

He's washed now but in his prime he was as elite as it gets. Even after he lost the belt, he could still be a tough-out. He should have retired after beating Alex Morono whom the UFC set him up to fail against.

Henderson had great physique and those thighs are tree trunks and it looks like he is smuggling holiday hams in his calfs. He was very evolved considering the era he started out in, great heart, chin also and he was very fast.

Props to Herb for letting them finish the fight. You literally need a 2x4 to knock out Henderson. Pettis was certainly a flashy and talented fighter, but I truly think Smooth is the better, more consistent fighter. Henson always brought his heart to his wars , Pettis would leave his heart home half of the time. Either way, this was a victory for us fans. And Pettis certainly won this one. BUT, I believe,in their respective primes, Henderson beats Pettis 8/10 times.

You're a little confused there my man... "THIS" fight/their first meeting in the WEC happened around Christmas of 2010... You're thinking of their 2nd meeting in the UFC when Pettis took Bensons belt again for the 2nd time via armbar. Thats the one that took place in 2013 in I think July or August, not sure which. But I know it was in the summer

I think that the pettis kick was a fix, the second it happened you could see he signaled pettis by putting his foot on the cage. as time passed it only further cemented that I was right as we NEVER seen it happen even once again, not only the kick itself but the way benson puts his foot on the cage. it's obvious to me why it would be a fix seeing how the company was folding and going into the UFC so they wanted to secure their spots in their new promotions and secure nice paydays for eachother. but yeah it was a fix 100%
